Digitally inspired artwork on cards

In this lens I am displaying one range of my cards and prints which are available to purchase on eBid.net.

This is a constantly growing range which we hope will appeal to all ages and tastes.

Where would we be without the computer these days? Of course, I wouldn't be here asking the question LOL

Digitally produced or digitally altered images can give pleasing and sometimes surprising results. It's always worth experimenting with your pictures, whether they are hand drawn sketches or photographs, you'll be astonished at what you can achieve by pulling and twisting the images on your computer.

Try it and have some fun. For example, in the module directly below this there is a digitally altered picture which, when I was playing with it, struck me as having potential for providing an owl's eye. I will use this part of the image in a fantasy collage sometime soon.

And the image to the left here is an altered picture of a singer at a microphone - the colours seem appropriate somehow.

I thought I had put more of my digitally imspired images into production as cards ... this is one area I will expand upon

The Land, Sea, Sky series

Land Sea Sky

Storm Land Sea Sky

Sunset Land Sea Sky

These three images were taken from one photograph which I then played with digitally and finally hand painted to finish the design.

Liquid Light

This is a digitally altered image. The original picture was of a lamp in my sitting room. I then warped the image and, when I was satisfied with the results, printed it out and further enhanced it by hand.

Most of the hand finishing on the master image was done with Prismalo watercolour pencils - one of my favourite media :-)

Liquid Blue

I decided to make a watery blue version of this card design for a bit of variety.

Ripples

This design is part digital and was the result of a bit of experimentation.

I have a few cards now which have been created in the same way, using a photograph and digitally playing with the images. Some interesting results came from this technique but I found only a limited number were useable.

After printing out the digtally altered images I then hand finished the designs and chose a few to use in my range of cards and prints.

Bubbles and Pools

Another enhanced digitally created card, hand finished by the artist and supplied ready to send.

At The Rainbow's End

This started off as a photograph of a Celtic Cross which was then played with digitally and enhanced by hand afterwards.

Just a drop

This image started out as a photograph of an eye.

It's probably impossible to see it now after all my playing with it but I do like the result, the blend of colours is particularly pleasing.

At some point I may add a different colourway in this design.

Balloons

I nearly called this 'an explosion in a balloon factory' but balloons are what it makes me think of, a mass release of them into the sky.

I guess it's not really an environmentally sound thing to do these days, release a load of balloons like that, who knows what creature might eat them or get caught up in them somehow.

You may not believe me, but this image was actually taken from the same photo of an eye as Just a Drop.

Fantasy bubbles

Fantasy bubbles will appear in more colourways, if anyone has a preference, let me know and I'll work on that colour first.

All our cards are blank inside for you to add your own message but we can add a message for you if you prefer, for a modest additional charge.

Not only can your message be placed inside the card, you can have a special greeting printed on the face of the card if you wish.

Fantasy Bubbles in Pink

Fantasy bubbles of the pink variety.

Card designs are also available as A4 prints suitable for framing. Just ask through the contact me button on my Squidoo lensmaster page or by sending me a message through any of my eBid listings.

Flow

Flow.

I am very attracted by the flowing shapes and intermingling colours I can achieve digitally starting with some very simple shapes.

I keep promising myself that I'll do more of these but I always seem to have a dozen other projects I'm playing catch up on that something is inevitably at the back of the queue.

Having just added several here, the next batch may take a while.
