I love Garry Marshall. He directed some of my all time favorite films. Pretty Women, Overboard and The Princess Diaries. He is also one of my favorite actors.. He is such a fuuny guy. I loved him in "Never Been Kissed" as Drew Barrymore's demanding boss and as Stan Lansing in Murphy Brown. He also created some of my all-time favorite TV shows like Happy Days and Laverne & Shirley.

Garry's Sister is Penny Marshall who played Laverne DeFazio in Laverne & Shirley. She also went on to direct Big, A League of Their Own and many more awesome films.

His Niece is Tracy Reiner. She is Penny's daughter and a actress who has had parts in many of her Uncle's films. Her father is Rob Reiner.

I just finished reading Garry Marshall's Book "Wake Me When It's Funny". Fabulous book - I felt like it was an awesome retelling of the "behind the scenes" happening to all the movies

You beat me... GM was on my list of 'must do' lenses, but I've been swamped. I often see him at Vitello's (of Robert Blake fame) and he even has a dish named after him. Nice tribute to a guy who transformed the entertainment world!
