Great fun for everyone.

I might be giving away my age but one of my favourite childhood memories was going with my parents to the drive - in cinema near our home to watch the latest instalment of the Herbie movies.

The adventures of the little VW beetle were always capable of raising a few laughs and this latest instalment does not disappoint. Herbie's repitoire of oil squirting, door banging attacks on his hapless enemies may be a little limited but they can still bring out chuckles.

Synopsis

Our hero Herbie is washed up and washed out. His winning form is ended and he is destined for the junkyard and crushing. Then into his life steps Maggie Peyton (Lindsay Lohan) who transforms Herbie to his former glory. Herbie in turn helps Maggie find love and fulfil her dream becoming the first woman to win a Nascar series race! Throughout the story Maggie is in conflict with her dad who fears for her life after she was injured in a car related accident years before. Her desire to please him clashes with the legacy left by her racing grandfather and the desire to be a great driver!

Morals from the film.

  1. Don't let fear stop you from following your dreams.
  2. True friends help you achieve your dreams. Even after you've let them down.
  3. Not everyone that offers you a chance to fulfil a dream is your friend.

Other things that the film will teach you.

  1. VW's were born to crush Nissans.
  2. VW Beetles were designed to break the laws of physics.
  3. NEVER EVER EVER cut up a teenage girl driving a beetle.
  4. Male VW's are like any other male they think that they are capable of trying it on with much younger models.
  5. Even NASCAR drivers are impressed by a VW Beetle.
  6. VW's have feelings too!

Lindsay Lohan Bio

Lindsay Dee Lohan was born in 1986 (July 2) in the Bronx. Famous for her roles in films like Freaky Friday, Mean Girls, Confessions of a Teeneage Drama Queen and of course Herbie Fully Loaded. She has also made a couple of pop albums. Like many of her ilke Lohan started in show business as a child model for magazine advertisement and television commercials. At age 10, she began her acting career in soaps. In 1998 at age 11, she debuted in Disney's 1998 remake of The Parent Trap which grossed US 92 m. In it she plays identical twins who try to bring their estranged parents back together. Lohan's own parents divorced in 2005.
The darling of Disney was then offered a three film deal and subsequently turned down a role in Inspector Gadget. This lead to her role in Freaky Friday which she plays alongside Jamie Lee Curtis. Her biggest success to date Freaky Friday grossed over US 160 m.
Her next film Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen suffered marginal success but her first leading role outside of Disney in Paramounts Mean Girls was a great deal more successful.
She has also appeared in A Prairie Home Companion and Bobby opposite Elijah Wood.
Her pop music career has includedthe albums Speak(2004) and A Little More Personal (Raw) (2005).
Lohan has suffered a roller coaster ride through the media. Labelled a party queen and a out of control by some she has also topped Maxim's 100 sexiest women. Her struggle with, alchohol, drugs and the law has been well documented as has her receipt of a joint first and second place at the golden rasberry awards for her role in the 2007 film I Know Who Killed Me.
Her music career has not risen to great heights with A Little More Personal (Raw) receiving mixed reviews and it remains to be seen what her third album due in 2008 will produce.
