The pitfalls of the hobby...

What you should know when buying or trading

Disney pin collecting can be fun, but expensive. Pins at the theme parks range from $6.95 for open edition or "rack" pins to $25.00 for limited edition jumbo pins. Veteran collectors know to limit themselves to favorite characters (Mickey Mouse or Cinderella, for example), theme park attractions (Haunted Mansion or Castles) or Disney films (Bambi, Toy Story, etc.)When you decide to take the trading plunge, start with a Disney Cast Member at a theme park or Disney Retail location. As long as you offer a Disney copyright pin that is not on their lanyard, you've made a trade! The best way to become comfortable trading with other collectors is to educate yourself.
