Ariel

Ariel was the fourth Disney Princess. In 1989 she appeared in Disney's The Little Mermaid.

Ariel is an adventurous and beautiful 16 year old mermaid with long, flowing red hair and big blue eyes. The youngest daughter of King Triton, she was a princess by birth. Her fascination with all things human, and her desire to be one, got her into a lot of trouble, but in the end she got to become a human princess.

I hate it when they portray Ariel just brushing her hair or something. She was so much cooler than that. She was an explorer who wanted to learn about things beyond her immediate community. I love her.
