Those bad guys we love so much
Governor Ratcliffe
Pocahontas (1995)
With grand plans to become rich and powerful, Ratcliffe was a brute. With the "New World" in front of him, he cared only to strip it clean, regardless of the cost. Destroying the Native Americans and the land was perfectly fine by him. Many lessons can be learned through this guy. Governor Ratcliffe Action Figure
Pocahontas John Ratcliffe
Amazon Price: $4.98 (as of 02/17/2012)![]()
* John Ratcliffe and Percy
* Comes w/ Accessories: Cannon, Shovel, Sword
The Queen of Hearts
Alice in Wonderland (1951)
Some villains seem to be evil geniuses, and others...well they are just nuts. The Queen of Hearts is flat out mad. 'Off with her head!!!' Like Madam Mim, in The Sword in the Stone, The Queen of Hearts was mean just on a whim.Though she didn't have the grand evil master plan as many villains did, choosing a beheading as the solution for everything is pretty scary.

Disney Villain Books
Hades
Hercules (1997)
Hades, the all-powerful Greek mythology king of the dead...so evil that the underworld shared his name. His hatred and bitterness is obvious, and talent for manipulation clear. How can you not be impressed by a villain who exuded blue flames?
Hades Watch
Cruella de Vil
Best Villain
Yes, that's an oxymoron.

Clayton
Tarzan (1999)
Clayton is cruel. Like Cruella de Vil, animal life meant nothing to him. Yet another money hungry villain, Clayton used a cruel force over animals and humans alike. Ursula Collectibles
Kaa
The Jungle Book (1967)
Although he was not the scariest looking villain, Kaa is the threatening and cunning type. With a soothing voice, he hypnotized his victims.Even being a snake, long viewed as manipulative and persuasive (since Eve), Zaa was indeed able to come across as a likable villain...possibly by hypnotizing audiences.

Disney Villain Pins
Shan-Yu
Mulan (1998)
This is about the scariest villain of them all. He has no humor to him whatsoever. We often see the villains in their hideout with a sidekick and a lot of humor. Not so with this guy. We don't know why he does what he does; we don't know his motive. We only know that he is violent, ruthless, and determined. Even an adult seeing this movie, would be a bit afraid of this guy. - I love this lens and featured it on one that I've put together about Ursula, The Sea Witch from The Little Mermaid. I've also lens-rolled it on my Ursula, Halloween and Kiddieland (Chicago's former 'Disneyland') lenses. Here's my Ursula page if you'd like to check it out!

- For me it's a toss-up between Maleficent and Shan-Yu. Though Scar and Jafar run up pretty close too.

- My new favorite is the Bowler Hat Guy from Meet the Robinsons. He is the most bumbling villain of all.

- Great - tried to think of a few more villains - must be plenty you missed - can't think of any for now though. Was Chitty Chitty Bang Bang a Disney film? In which case you should add Baron Bomburst...

- My 5 year old nephew always seems to love the villians the most! His favorite is Hook, but he's really into a pirate phase right now. :)
