The only supplement I've used is creatine and it did seem to help a bit. Perhaps great nutrition would do the same, supplements are just easy. Great Lens though.

Consumers were told not to use body-building products that are sold as supplements but may contain steroids.

Oh man I have come to this question soooo many times....I have argued with people even more than that......Strauss is right.....athletes whatever their sport is THEY DO NOT NEED SUPPLEMENTS put it in your head and get on with it already !!!! All they need is, train hard every single time and eat healthy nothing less nothing more...Now if you are competing ..unfortunately and i say this with great grief...yes you need supplements......ONLY IF YOU ARE COMPETING

Supplements are "needed", they "supplement"! Bodybuilders should source the majority of their nutrients (macro and micro) via diet, with supplemented used around their diet to enhance gains. It would be misleading to say supplements are required, because people starting out may feel they have to buy supplements, which often leads to less attention of diet.

Like how you put it into perspective with this: "how much are my muscle gains worth to me?"... seen countless newby bodybuilders walk into a supplement shop like it's a candy store and grab whatever the sales rep touted. You always need to have priorities so you're clear what to drop when there's a credit crunch.

I take the systemic enzymes called Vitalzym that helps me recover and bounce back. They eat up excess fibrosis in the body, including scar tissue, excess fibrin in the blood, thereby cleansing it, and decreases inflammation. They are a great help to me, especially for strength training. They also helped rid me of fibromyalgia, and now I can actually work out. Nothing short of amazing. Those are on my products page here.
