Doctor Who Companions - New Series

Rose is a human from the 21st century. Rose meets the ninth doctor during the living plastic affair. She helps save him and agrees to travel with him.

Rose is sent back to Earth by the 9th Doctor, when they are facing the Emperor Dalek. Rose with the help of her Mother and boyfriend Mickey opens the TARDIS. She takes the time vortex into her head and returns to save the Doctor. This energy would kill her so the Doctor takes it into himself after the Daleks are defeated. This causes the 9th Doctor to regenerate into the 10th Doctor.

Rose and the Doctor save Queen Victoria from a werewolf at the Torchwood Estate. Queen Victoria in response starts the Torchwood Institute to battle entities from other worlds.

Modern day Torchwood opens the void to use it as an energy source. This leads to the battle of Canary Wolf between the Daleks and Cyberman. Rose get trapped on the parallel Earth during the battle.

Rose works with Torchwood on the parallel Earth to try to come back. She succeeds and helps defeat Davros. Rose is then left on the parallel Earth with the half human Doctor.

Captain Jack is from the 51st century, and was a time agent. He meets the 9th Doctor and Rose when trying to pull a con during war world II.

He travels with the 9th Doctor. Captain Jack is killed by the Daleks in the year 200,000, and is brought back to life by Rose. The Doctor leaves him there.

Captain Jack uses his time agent wrist watch to travel back in time to find the Doctor. He works for Torchwood III in Cardiff while waiting. He eventually catches the 10th Doctor while traveling with Martha Jones. He helps Martha and the Doctor to stop the Master. Captain Jack opts to stay on Earth when the Doctor asks if he would like to come with him.

When the Daleks steal Earth Captain Jack meets back with the Doctor and helps stop Davros, and then returns to his work at Torchwood.

Mickey Smith is a human from 21st century Earth. He met the doctor during the living plastic affair. He later met the doctor again during the encounter with the Slitheen. The Doctor talked him through hacking into the Britsh Navy to save everyone. At this time the 9th Doctor offered Mickey a chance to travel with him, but Mickey refused.

Later Mickey calls Rose to have her and the Doctor investigate a suspicious school, where the children have knowledge way beyond planet Earth. Mickey asked if he could accompany the 10th Doctor and Rose at that point.

Mickey travels with the Doctor and Rose to the parallel Earth, where they encounter the Cybermen. Mickey opts to stay on the parallel world. Mickey works for the parallel world Torchwood, and when the Cyberman cross from one world to another he goes ahead first. Mickey helps with the battle as much as possible. The Doctor closes the breach between the parallel worlds leaving Mickey and Rose on the parallel Earth.

In the fourth series when the universe is breaking down Mickey travels accross the parallel worlds with Jackie (Rose's Mum) and saves Sarah Jane. He helps to defeat Davros, and opts to stay on the original Earth. He gets out of the TARDIS with Captain Jack and Martha.

Donna Noble is a human from the 21st century Earth. She meets the Doctor on her wedding day when she is teleported onto the TARDIS while walking down aisle. This was caused by huon particles she was injected with. She helps the Doctor stop the Racnoss. She turns down an offer to travel with him.

Donna regrets turning the Doctor down later, and starts looking for trouble knowing that if she investigates enough weird things she will find the Doctor. Donna finds the doctor investigating Adipose industries. She then travels with him.

When the Earth disappears she help the Doctor locate its hiding spot and reach the Earth. She is trapped in the TARDIS while the Daleks try to destroy it. She touches the Doctors hand in which he had stored regeneration energy earlier. This created a half human Doctor with some Donna characteristics, and gave Donna the mind of a Time Lord. After stopping Davros and the Daleks her mind became unstable. The Doctor had to erase her memory to save her life.

Martha is a human from 21st century Earth. She meets the Doctor while interning as a medical student. The hosipital she is interning at is transported to the moon by the Judoon to find an alien criminal. She helps the Doctor, and he offers her a trip.

Martha travels with the Doctor and falls in love with him. The Doctor does not return the feelings. When the Master is elected Prime Minster of Great Britain, she uses Jacks Time Agent wrist watch to teleport to safety, and wanders the Earth for a year to free the Doctor, her family and Captain Jack. She suceeds. Martha feels she can no longer tavel with the Doctor, because of her feelings for him.

The Doctor gets her a job at UNIT. She calls the Doctor for help when the Sontarians show up.

Martha also helps to defeat Davros. Afterwards she stays on Earth and continues her job with UNIT.
