Using a Dog Seat Belt harness will make traveling with your dog a pleasure for you and your dog. You will have the peace of mind needed to concentrate on driving and your dog will enjoy the ride in safety and security.

You would never allow your child to travel without seat belt. But a dog without a seat belt is even more dangerous.

Do not hazzard with your life, life of your passengers or your dog!

5 Reasons of using a Dog Seat Belt

Dog seat belt will help keep your dog and other travellers safe in an accident.

Distraction Distractions cause accidents. Your dog can be a distraction.

Impact Dog without seat belt is just like human without seat belt: If you slam on the brakes or hit another car, you and everything else that's not restrained goes flying toward the windshield. A large dog hurtling at you or another passenger from the backseat can be deadly for you and the dog.

Emergency A dog that has been in an accident can be in shock, confused, and injured. The dog could attack rescue personnel who are trying to help you.

Control Even well-trained dog has been known to jump after a chipmunk, cat, or another dog.

Comfort It is more pleasant to ride in a car when everyone, human and dog, stays in their seat.

If you love to take your pet everywhere you go but just can not seem to make him be still and sit safely in the car, you should try the Pet Vehicle Safety Harness.

Story: Get a dog seat belt for your pet NOW!

Date: Tuesday, 19 April 2005, at 4:52 p.m.

This weekend my 12 year old collie survived being thrown from my vehicle in a pretty nasty car crash.
Neither I, nor my passenger, nor the people in the other car were hurt...we all walked away without injury. But my dog, who was riding in the cargo area of my Subaru Outback, was thrown many yards from the vehicle through one of the side windows.
My vehicle was broadsided on the right rear wheel by an SUV going 40+ mph and the impact spun my vehicle several times, essentially doing 'crack the whip' and flinging my dog's body out through the side window.

I can't describe the horror of helplessly spinning around and around and seeing my dog actually flying out onto the road.

I don't know HOW she lived. It really is a miracle that she suffered no internal bleeding or fractures...only a moderate brachial plexus injury that looks like it might eventually heal with no need for amputation. I think our guardian angels were riding shotgun that day.

However my dog is in a lot of pain and distress and it hurts terribly to know that it all could have been avoided if I'd buckled her up with a safety dog seat belt.

I urge EVERYONE with pets to invest in safety dog seat belt. Use them for EVERY car ride, EVERY time...no matter how short the trip or where you're driving!

I was only driving to a neighborhood a few blocks away to walk my dog when this happened. Now we don't know if she'll ever walk again. If you're worried about the cost of quality dog seat belt...well, $60-$70 dollars is NOTHING compared to the $650 in vet bills I am paying, not to mention the pain of seeing my best friend suffer because of my mistake.
I'm going to invest in a safety seat belt for my dog and I urge every pet owner to do the same. There's simply no reason not to.

And no, I'm not being paid to write this. If you have any doubts, contact me through e-mail and I'll show you pictures of the car and the dog! Please pass this on to all your pet-owning friends! Safety dog seat belt save lives!
