Domenico Dolce (born 1958 near Palermo. Italy) and Stefano Gabbana (born 1962 in Milan, Italy) business partners and for 19 years, they were lovers. They met while working as assistants in Milan in the early 1980s and soon brought together the now famous brand. They

Known for dressing Hollywood celebrities, they are particularly known for their close relationship with Madonna.  They describe her as their "friend, admirer and inspiration". Says Madonna: "Their clothes are sexy with a sense of humour - like me."

New York Magazine says: "Devastatingly sexy, fetishistic designs and a characteristically Italian aesthetic; every collection would look at home on the set of a Fellini movie.
