Quarantine Movie Synopsis:
Angela is a young reporter for a local TV channel and goes around with her cameraman every night in search of different collectives of people. Tonight they'll be covering the local firemen and she secretly hopes for an opportunity to capture the story of a great fire.
But the night remains very calm. When they finally receive a call from an old lady who is trapped inside her house, she has no other choice but to follow the firemen and cover their rescue mission. When they arrive, the see that the neighbors in the old lady's building are very frightened. They have been hearing horrifying screams from inside the old lady's apartment
The firemen break down the door of the apartment and are followed by Angela and her cameraman. They find the old lady semi-conscious and surrounded by dozens of cats. Suddenly, the old lady jumps on an officer and starts to bite him like a wild animal right in front of the camera lens.
Its just the beginning of a long nightmare and of a unique and terrifying report never before seen on TV. When one of the fireman and the other officer take away their wounded colleague, they discover that the only exit in the entire building has been blocked by the authorities. The building has been quarantined. Apparently, a strange virus has spread inside the building.
The fire squad, the neighbors and the TV crew are stuck inside the building, where new victims are slowly becoming infected due to the propagating virus. Its turning them into vicious, bloodthirsty beings. The key to everything seems to lie in one of the apartments, only there are less and less sane people left and time is running out
Angela and her cameraman finally have the opportunity of a lifetime to cover the most important report of their careers but, what price will they have to pay in order to record it all on camera?.

Quarantine movie ~ review
The megaplex boneyard is littered with inferior U.S. remakes of superior overseas horror films, and their existence is even more galling when they keep the originals from getting domestic distribution. It's a shame that this English-language cover of an excellent Spanish shocker will eclipse the original, at least in U.S. theaters - but even those who despise remakes will have to admit that director John Erick Dowdle's furious retread is scary as hell. (Unless, that is, they've seen the idiot trailer, which gives away the entire damn movie.) Practically a scene-for-scene re-creation, the U.S. version retains the setting - an apartment building under siege by zombie contagion - as well as the gimmick: The movie unfolds in on-the-spot news footage shot by the crew penned up inside. Far more convincing than Cloverfield or Diary of the Dead in its fake-found-footage ambience, Quarantine wisely spends its first 15 minutes acclimating the audience to its chirpy feature-reporter heroine (Jennifer Carpenter). From there, it's utterly relentless as the dwindling dwellers lunge through infested corridors in gradually vanishing light. The lack of music, the nerve-wracking sound design, the suggestive lighting and the unobtrusive cutting combine to keep us off-guard, but it's the ensemble that evokes bat-shit terror so convincingly. Quarantine Movie ~ Interview with Jennifer Carpenter ('Angela Vidal')
Jennifer Carpenter stars as a reporter who gets trapped in a building where something strange is going on in the Screen Gems thriller Quarantine. The horror film had its premiere at Knott's Scary Farm where zombies stalked unsuspecting guests both on the
Tell me about working on this. They shot it in order - how easy is that for you?Jennifer Carpenter: "It was a real blessing because the movie, like if you put it on a pie chart or if you put it on a graph chart, you'd have to make sure the whole cast is going 50 miles an hour and not some people going 90 and some people going 20. So we all had to be on the same page, so the climax really pays off and it really, really does."
And you have to keep up that whole level of adrenaline the whole shoot. How difficult is that? What do you do to psyche yourself up?
Jennifer Carpenter: "Well it was six weeks of shooting so for like the first 10 hours of every day, you sort of rest on the amazing makeups they do. You're resting on everyone's performance and the story. And then by the end of the day you're running on fumes so you scream a lot, you chase your cast members around, you laugh. You call your family and touch in with them. Trickery."
You don't really like horror movies I heard.
Jennifer Carpenter: "No, I don't."
So why do you keep getting cast in horror movies?
Jennifer Carpenter: "Because I think people who like horror movies, like to see people who don't like to be scared be scared - and I'm one of them. I am one of them."
You're so gorgeous I would see you in a romantic comedy or something lighter. Are you ready for that?
Jennifer Carpenter: "I am ready for that. Yes!"
Are you getting scripts that are lighter?
Jennifer Carpenter: "Some of them, yeah. And I also haven't been on the stage in seven years so I'm kind of looking forward to going back to that, you know? That scares me more than this stuff does, going back to stage. Going back to stage - it's rough stuff."
Do you like performing in front of a live audience?
Jennifer Carpenter: "Yes, since I was eight. That's where I fell in love with the idea of this."
Why should people go see this?
Jennifer Carpenter: "Because it's a great movie. Because I'm sick of going to movies and like two minutes in thinking, 'God, they stole my money again,' you know? And you won't have that experience here. This movie pays off. It's really excellent. It's easy to promote. I'm really happy with it."
