DriveSavers Unveils World's Largest Data Recovery Cleanroom
As hard drive manufacturers continue to push the limits of data storage capacities, DriveSavers continues to keep pace by adopting new data recovery technology, procedures and software tools. This year, we took a giant leap forward.DriveSavers invested over $2 million to build the world's largest hybrid cleanroom dedicated exclusively to data recovery. With over 2,000 square feet of working area, the ultra-modern cleanroom environment features a certified ISO-5 (Class 100) cleanroom and three separate mixed flow "Clean Zones" (Class 100,000, Class 10,000 and Class 1,000 levels). Each static-free zone is dedicated to a specific data recovery task.
In addition to the cleanroom, new "triage" areas have been constructed where engineers decontaminate, clean and disassemble external hard drives and computers. These areas were utilized for several drives that had been submerged in contaminated muddy water for 3 days during the recent Midwest floods.
The new ISO-5 cleanroom will optimize data recovery success rates and maintain the required standards of major hard drive manufacturers and computer makers, who authorize us to open their drives without voiding the original warranty.
