Who is Rock Guitarist Dweezil Zappa

Ranked #16,842 in Culture & Society, #340,153 overall

Zappa Plays Zappa Frontman and Lead Guitarist

The eldest son of iconoclast rock legend Frank Zappa, Dweezil has become a force to be reckoned with in his own right. Rather than try to avoid comparison to his famous father, Dweezil has taken the bull by the horns by forming the tribute band Zappa Plays Zappa, which has had three successful tours.

Dweezil Zappa CDs

A number of Dweezil's albums are marked "discontinued by manufacturer." I don't know what the story is, but once a master is produced additional pressing aren't much of a problem, so I suspect this is some kind of contract dispute. Get 'em while you can!

What Belongs Here ?

And BTW Who Says So?

If everything is working correctly, this page should be part of Squidoo's "Squid Who" subsidiary. It follows the standard format (with some additions), which is what I would expect from a collection of pages that have their own search function, if not their own directory. However, I've seen discussion where some Squidoo users assign a lower star-rating to pages that retain the default module titles.

It's one thing to encourage people to "experiment with the platform," but since Squidoo obviously prefers certain conventions, is it asking too much that they spell them out somewhere? I'd like to know, for example, if they don't want cookie-cutter "Squid Who" pages, why do they supply the cookie-cutter default template?

I'd also like to know how they justify penalizing people for "wrong" star ratings when they give little or no guidance on what those ratings should indicate.

Shout Out For Dweezil Zappa!

There's nothing wrong with these "Guestbook" modules per se, but they tend to become repositories for Squidoo "inside baseball." The majority of visitors to this page expect it to be about Dweezil Zappa, not a page about the page itself.

I've never quite been sure what distinguishes a blog from a regular webpage. Timeliness seems to have something to do with it, but that doesn't seem to be a hard and fast rule.

Anyway, here are some of the things I've been working on lately...
