ETF Trading Revealed - How To Trade ETFs
But before we get started with specific ETF strategies, let's make sure that we all know what ETFs really are.
ETFs are portfolio of stocks, bonds, or commodities which follow a known index or represent a collection of stocks in a specific sector. For instance, there are oil ETFs, Gold ETFs, financial ETFs, and so on. Each of these Exchange Trade Funds are comprised of stocks for companies in that specific sector.
The value of the ETF is a weighted average of the values of all the stocks or bonds that are included in the fund. ETFs are traded just like stocks and can be bought and sold at regular trading hours. ETF trading hours are usually the same as those of stocks.
ETFs are a world in their own. They are a relatively new investment tool and have their own complexities, strategies, and tricks. In this review, I'll to show you how you can use this tool to raise the value of your portfolio and make more money.

What are the benefits of trading ETFs
As ETFs are funds which are made up of several stocks, they constitute a more diverse investment, so they expose you to far less risk.
The great thing about ETFs is that they allow you to trade a whole sector or a whole Index. For instance, you may believe that the oil sector is about to experience a good financial time, but you don't know which companies will be the actual winners. So you buy an ETF share and this means that even if a single oil company falls, the rest will rise because the entire sector is going through a good period. So, that one fall is more than made up for by the rest of the stocks in the ETF.
You can also follow an index like the Dow with a Dow ETF which simply gives you a close average to how the stocks in the Dow are doing.
So, you don't have to monitor specific stocks, wasting time looking for the best one, and it minimizes risk in a massive way so your capital is safer.
Of course, trading ETFs can have its risks just as it has a potential for massive profits. You need to know what you're doing.
A recommended course to take on this subject is ETF Profit Driver.
It's an excellent course which can show you the ins and outs of Exchange Trade Funds strategies.

ETF Trading Strategies - How To Trade ETFs
There are many ETF trading strategies, some of which are good, some are bad, and others are just bogus. Let's start by finding out why you want to trade ETFs in the first place.
Some people are in it for the long long run. They invest for years, so they won't be planning to trade on a regular basis and they won't check on their fund anytime soon. For these people, the strategy is really one of just selecting a sector they believe will increase in value over the next few years and investing in it.
Others are more adventurous. ETF day trading is something that more and more people are doing, but ETF day trading may prove less suitable than day trading stocks.
The reason is that the short term fluctuations in the value of an ETF tend to be lower than those of a specific stock since an ETF's value is made up of the average values of the stocks in it. So ETF day trade is definitely possible, can be lucrative, but may not be the best way to go.
The majority of people trade ETFs for weeks or months. For those there are a number of available strategies...
ETF trading Systems and Strategies
- Set a Stop Loss and adhere to it
- Don't look continuously at the value of your investment
- Set take profit prices
- Diversify your investment between several ETFs
- Don't fall in love with the positions you hold
- Make sure you know what you're doing
Basically, profitable ETF Trading is done by recognizing trends in the market and following them.
This requires some technical analysis skills. This is where the ETF Profit Driver course can prove valuable, as it covers 4 mid-range ETF trading strategies which have been proved high in success probability and great at risk management.
Taking advantage of trends can be made in several instances:
- Before a trend begins - You rise on it all the way
- During a trend pull-back you exploit a momentary weakness in the market
- After a trend correction, you seize the recovery trend movement
- During a trend reversal by taking an inverse ETF
You can read more about such strategies here: ETF trading system and strategies.
Fundamental ETF trading
This has some disadvantages to mid-range trading:
- It requires you to do careful and deep analysis which takes time and effort
It means the money you trade is "frozen" in your position for a long time
That's why many traders choose mid-range trading.
