Ear Candles

Ear Candles or Cones are a popular and effective way to remove built up ear wax.  I have seen hundreds of people use them safely.

One of the more interesting experiences was when a local farmer had pulled out an insect mixed with ear wax into the candle.

For what ever the reason, if you feel that you have too much ear wax,  using an ear candle is a safe and inexpensive way to help alleviate the problem.

    Andy156,
Yeah, they really do work well. Usually the darker stuff that you see in the candle is the wax itself. But I would not bother trying to make them when they are so inexpensive. The time and resources it takes to make them is probably outweighed by how inexpensive they are to buy.

Sadly, there only seemed to be two lenses on Ear Candling. This one, and a lens from the Ever Pages...strongly debating any positive use for the practice of Ear Candling. I have done it, with my family, and we all felt the better for it.
I have heard the stories of people setting fire to their home while candling..but guess what - you DON'T DO IT ALONE!
That just make s me want to find that woman and say "Hey lady...Here's your sign!" (dumb!)

I know that the remains at the bottom of the candle are not simply candle drippings as the other lens argues. My son had excessive wax build-up, and it was also filthy due to him sticking his dirty little fingers in there to scratch at his itchy ears. When we candled, there was actually (very tiny) bits of blood from his ear. (No need to worry, when he scratched, he just cut skin a bit with his fingernail.)
But this also prooves that the gunk IS drawn from the ear.
I want to learn how to make my own candles. Anyone know?
