After several tests they told me that I was pregnant.
This was a very happy moment for me and I was a bit surprised, because I had my period. Not as much as usual, but still some light bleeding.
They told me some women continue to have their periods or light bleeding during the first trimester. So to be on the safe side contact your medical professional if you have some of the early pregnancy symptoms, even if you have your period.
It wasn't until well into the second month before I experienced pregnancy symptoms, again that is different for everybody.
Here is a list of what you can expect:
Morning sickness, normally starts between week two and week eight after conception. For me it was not only in the morning but really all day.
Breasts and nipples becomes larger and can be very sore and the area around the nipples, the Aureole, becomes darker.
You will probably need to go more often to the bathroom, this is very normal and can happen even in the first week of your pregnancy.
I felt very tired the first three months and very hungry. Craving food at all times of the day (and night) was the order of the day. My husband was busy.
Eating too much or too unhealthy is however not something you should do. After all your baby is sharing what you eat and drink. Cut down on the alcohol or even better give it up for the nine months.
Believe me, you will not miss it, and you will feel so much better.
You can easily become irritated, and it is probably a good idea to tell your parter what to expect. With all the hormones in your system it is normal.
Your skin could change because of the hormones as well, but don't worry it will pass.
If you are feeling some early pregnancy symptoms and you think you could be pregnant go and see your doctor to be sure.
