4/13/08 Honolulu Advertiser Newspaper, http://www.honoluluadvertiser.com, page A31 "Pitching in for Earth Day, Ala Wai photos by Rebecca Breyer was in the news of how residents volunteer to help the planet.
Other ways you can help Earth: Plant a plant, any plant, of your hearts desire to replenish oxygen on earth and help beautify your neighborhood. It can make a world of difference for butterflies love nectar from the hibiscus. If you give plants, recycled water, from your washing machine, it will save you money and feed your plants. Plants need fertilizer too.

Earth Day is right around the corner, April 22. Many chip in now and all year through to keep the spirit of Earth Day alive,

Earth Day April 22.

Earth Day is April 22, began with the founder Mr.Gaylord Nelson. The first Earth Day was April 22, 1970. Mr. Nelson was a senator and govenor of Wisconsin. New industries developed in keeping with Earth Day; solar power (http://www.solarelectricpower.org/), geothermal power (http://www.geo-energy.org/information/plants.asp) , and, wind energy (http://www.windustry.com) industries have throughout time have developed. Wind Industry is for individuals as well as for wind farms. Business, has helped in keeping with Earth Day in many ways, like in this newspaper ad, from the Hononlulu Advertiser Newspaper of 4/13/08 page A24 "Here's $1,000 toward your new solar water heating system....For the list of approved contractors call (808) 94-power (947-6937 or visit HECO.com".
From page A22 of the Honolulu Advertiser of 4/13/08 "From Crop to Kilowatt a Sustainable Approach to Energy. BlueEarth Biofuels si the only biodiesel producer in the country to commit to sustainablility standards set by the Natural Resources Defense Council....BlueEarth Biofuels http://www.BlueEarthBiofuels.com. If you like furniture, from page A20, of the Honolulu Advertiser 4/13/08, "American Carpet One Green Select Flooring Sale-Come in this week & save on environmentally friendly "Green Select" carpet & flooring for your home....http://www.americancarpetone.com.Contractor License #C-7137."
The car industry has "The Smart for two" car. A little vehicle that has the highest rating for "good in front-end and side-impact testing" by the Insusrance Institute for Highway Safety. It gets 33 miles per gallon in the city and 41 mpg on the highway. It weights 1,800 pound and has a steel safety cage and four standard air bags, including two in front and two on the sides to protect the head and abdomen. The article I got this from is entitled "Smart fortwo is small, but ranks high in safety" by Ken Thomas Associated Press, dated 5/14/08 and found a similar article with same information. Hawaii will be the first state to have electric stations built for less dependency on oil.
Well it's official we're going ahead with electric car driving with electricity stations for cars as well as gas stations. Got to gear up knowledge for the best electric car to drive around locally. I wonder what kind of electric city busses will there be in the future? We are already paying $60.00 a month for bus pass locally. What if there is solar busses and bus fares are free? Alright enough wishful thinking, but who knows what can be for us in the near future like solar powered computers, amazon.com has solar powered watches on sale and everyone knows about solar powered calculators already and what is next-only time will tell. Solar powered computers are a very exciting now as Apple and Samsung is getting into the idea of solar powered computers. I can hardly wait for what might these and other companies have in store for us for new solar powered computers!

Life is great with the new products leaning toward solar or wind energy. We have much to look forward to in new products for our homes and the safe and green technology they will bring to our everyday life! I'll be awaiting all the new products and homes for us to enjoy!
