Easy Knitted Doll and Toy Patterns
Instructions
Start at the legs- Cast on 16 stitches
- Knit 38 rows - this completes one leg
- Leaving this leg on the needle, cast on 16 stitches on the same needle (for the other leg)
- Knit 38 rows - now you will have two legs on one needle
body
- Knit 28 rows knitting across both legs (32 stitches)
arms
- Cast on 24 stitches at the beginning of the next 2 rows
- Knit 22 rows (80 stitches)
- At the beginning of next 2 rows cast off 24 stitches
Head
- Knit 62 rows (32 stitches) - this does the front and back of the head
arms - back
- Cast on 24 stitches at the beginning of the next 2 rows
..... continue the remainder of the teddy in reverse order
Finishing the teddy- With good sides facing, sew up seams leaving a gap in the crotch for filling.
- Turn teddy good-side out.
- Sew diagonal top corners for ears.
- Sew on a happy face.
- Stuff head loosely with filling.
- Gather around the base of head by sewing gathering stitch and pulling tighter to form neck.
- Stuff the rest of the teddy loosely with filling and stitch up the hole.
- Tie a ribbon around the neck.

Easy Knitted Hat Patterns
Fluffy Knitted Beanie
Requirements:- 3 x 50g balls of a fluffy novelty yarn (such as eyelash)
- 2 Knitting needles US8 (UK6, 5mm)
- tapestry needle
- large safety pins
Instructions:
- Cast on 65 st. (or 72 st. for a large head) Leave the spare yarn hanging (about 6" (15cm) or so for sewing up with later, but being careful not to start knitting with it).
- Knit about 70 rows, using up 2 balls.
Decrease for shaping beginning with 3rd ball yarn.
- K1 (K 2 tog. K6) to end of row. (total 57 st).
- K1 (K 2 tog. K5) to end. (total 49 st).
- K4 (K 2 tog. K4) to end. (total 41 st).
- K3 (K 2 tog. K3) to end. (total 33 st).
- K2 (K 2 tog. K2) to end. (total 25 st).
- K1 (K 2 tog. K1) to end. (total 17 st).
- Knit 2 st together to end (total 9 st).
Sewing the hat
- Cut the yarn leaving 12" (30cm) of yarn on the knitting and thread this onto a very large holed tapestry needle. Thread the yarn through the 9 st., 2 times beginning at the first st. and pulling it tight and off the needle.
- Pin the 2 sides together with large safety pins, and sew them together evenly.
- Sew up from the bottom as well with the left-over piece of yarn, finishing off both ends under the turn-over rim for neatness. This seam will be the centre back of the beanie, although it shouldn't show.

Easy Knitted Scarf Patterns
Fluffy Knitted Scarf
Requirements:- 3 x 50g balls of a fluffy novelty yarn to match the beanie (such as eyelash)
- 2 Knitting needles US8 (UK6, 5mm)
Instructions:
- Cast on 21 st (or more for a wider scarf)
- Knit until long enough (3 50g balls makes about 4½ feet (144cm) length, depending on the yarn used)
- If fringe is wanted for this width you need 7 x 16" (40cm) of yarn. Double it and crochet each piece on, beginning with one on either side, then one in the the centre and then 2 lots each between the side and centre.(7). Cut the loops. Each one makes 4 strands.
