So Easy Even A Wonder Mom Can Do It

An easy PTA and PTO website design is one that is built with wonder moms in mind. We found the easiest after being inspired by a true wonder mom.

I'd like to share this story with you. A story that resonates a unique will. A story that quickly brought me to realize that achieving the ranks of being a wonder mom is not something that just anyone can do. It takes a special breed, a resourcefulness that is not easily learned and an instinctive dedication to one's own natural tendencies.

Not long after economic conditions in the United States took a sudden and drastic turn for the worse, I began to put pressure on my beautiful wife. Pressure to make what I called "a difference". I was pressing her to get back into the work force.

We were not in any immediate financial danger, but I did feel as if dark clouds were beginning to hover over us. Our children had just started 5th and 2nd grade and she was the website coordinator for the PTO. This role gave her an inside ear to everything that had an impact on our kids. As much as she loved being where our kids were for an hour each day, and as much as she loved getting to know all of the other children in school, I just could not see this as making a difference. easy PTA and PTO website design

Reluctantly, she agreed to pursue full-time work and did land a job quite quickly. In hindsight, this was an amazing accomplishment as most people were losing their jobs, yet my wife was able to find a job.

Since I was working out of the home office quite frequently, she insisted that I take over the laundry, the cooking, the cleaning, the groceries and a list of other tasks that occurred regularly. "No problem!", I said matter of factly. Well, I had no idea!

Though the first five hours of day one went according to plan, by 3PM everything changed. The first shocker was that I had to hustle my daughter to her dance class and then get my son to soccer practice. I could watch him for a few minutes, then pick her up and catch the end of his practice. Not too bad, but when we got home it was suddenly obvious that the laundry was not done and dinner had to be started soon. The beds were not made and homework was about to start. I had no idea how all of this surfaced so suddenly and I began to feel overwhelmed. I felt like I was the rope in a tug of war, constantly being pulled in one direction and then the other.

While I did eventually figure out how to better manage my new role, there was one thing I could not find a solution for. The tug of war did not stop. The starting, the stopping and the sudden changing of direction continued.. I could barely stop to breathe. Even though the time was for my kids and I was with my kids, it still felt like I was not spending time with them. It was hard work!

Well, I lasted only 4 months in this role. My wife's employment came to an end. However, what was her company's loss was definitely my gain. She is back home again and is truly making a difference. This is the same difference she was making before, but now I see it clearly. She is a wonder mom! Every mother that does the thankless jobs that are taken for granted is truly a wonder mom.

True to the wonder mom that she is, my wife held on to her role as website coordinator of the PTO. It quickly became apparent that we needed to make this role easier for her and whoever her successor would be. With necessity being the wonder mom of invention, we set out to find an easy PTA and PTO website design for all other wonder moms.

Our next mission is to create a new holiday to compliment Mother's Day. You guessed it, Wonder Mom's Day!

The Easiest Website Design That We Found

You'll have your website running in minutes

The Easiest Website Design For Your PTA or PTOAfter reviewing several options for the PTO's website, The Paperless PTO was an easy choice to make. We found it easy to use, affordable and their support is always very responsive.

One of the great features is that no technical expertise is required. By simply keying in titles, descriptions and dates you are able to build your PTA website with ease.

Another key point in making this choice was that we had to keep in mind the future of our PTA. Website coordinators will come and go. We wanted to make sure we came up with a solution that every future coordinator could easily adapt to. So far our families have found the program easy as well. And considering the fact that many people do not adapt well to change, we feel we have a solution that will be retained for many years to come.

Even more impressive is the automatic fund raising program that comes with it. They run it for you and it can easily become a profitable program for your association.

Things to consider when designing your PTA website::

* Your PTA website should have consistency to it so that your families will find it to be a valuable resource for years to come.
* The role of your website coordinator should be easily shared and passed on to new volunteers without interruption.
* Your website should give the impression that your PTA is run like a small business.

It is interesting to note that Ms. Rowling claims that she has actually been writing since she was 5 or 6 years old. Her first story, called Rabbit, was filled with interesting characters, such as a large bee called Miss Bee.

Her newest book hit bookshelves on November 4th, 2008. The book, The Tales of Beedle the Bard is a collection of five fables mentioned in Rowling's wildly popular Harry Potter book series. YOU!

Of course, the most notable wonder mom is every mother that goes about their everyday routine, and handles the unexpected as well. Whatever you do, whether you are a corporate executive or a soccer mom, your number one occupation is to be the best parent you can be.

Its been said before: you are a cook, a nanny, a nurse, a handy man, a maid, a laundress, a security officer, an activities manager, a taxi driver and a comfort giver. Wonder moms don't get holidays, sick pay, or a day off. They work through the day and some of the night; are under paid and over worked.
