Known as the art of designing paper, you can twist, fold, and turn a simple colored paper into an a bird, a boat, and anything in between with origami. The only limit is your imagination. HOWEVER, as a newcomer into this wonderful world of origami, let's start with the basics.

Let me show you how you can create a sailboat in 4 easy to follow steps.

So what do you need to have to start creating a sailboat?

Well, just a squared piece of origami or colored paper and that's about it. Let's get started with the easy Origami instructions.

Fold the square paper diagonally. Make sure that the ends meet and press down on the paper to create a triangle in your hands.

Hold the triangle you formed with one point pointed upwards. The outer ends must be folded to the center to make it look like a mini-square, then unfold it.

The tip of the triangle must be folded all the way to the bottom. Next, the outer ends will be folded upwards. This should be piece of cake as the creases have already been made. Have you done things right, you'll be holding a small square by now.

Last BUT not the least, fold the lower tip of the small square all the way to the top of the horizontal line created on the square's other end. Now, simply turn the paper over and...VIOLA! Now you have a sailboat. You can try papers with different colors to make your own collection of origami sailboats.
