U are my Squidoo inspiration! ^_^

I have to say this was the best lens I've read about Success on Squidoo! I love your sense of humor, BTW. My favorite section was about the Filter Method, it made total sense. I also loved the way you talked about Ranking and gave examples of the High Ranking High Traffic vs the Lower Ranking better money making lenses. That was more helpful than you probably realize. Thank you so much for taking the time to write this lens. I am one of your newest fans.

Definitely 5*s from me! This is an amazing lens. I now feel that mine are entirely too short, since you can read them in less than 45 minutes . . .
  • JellyGirl1 Mar 7, 2009 @ 9:42 am | delete
You've probably heard time and again how amazing this lens is, but I'll tell you again: This lens is so amazing! I had to 'favorite' it b/c I want to come back and read more. However, here's proof that I read your lens (devoured, really): When I started reading it was 10am, now it's 10:39 (am, of course). I know you said spelling is your weakness, and I noticed a few if you want me to point them out? Either way, great lens & I'll be back.

I'm pleased by your willingness to share some of your secrets. It helps people like me who sometimes don't have a clue. Like the pictures you've peppered your lens with, and the attitude!

I found you on one of the cafepress forums and I'm ever so glad I did! I'm still struggling to make Squidoo a success for me and it's helpful to have this lens to refer to. Most helpful info? Content, content, content! Sometimes I get off track and forget that content is the reason for the lens! Thank you so much! Five stars and I'm bookmarking so I can refer back!

Awesome, the things you can do when you're obsessed. You are an inspiration to this baby lensmaster. Don't know how you can read so much and still make all these lenses and have a life. I obsess about reading too, so reading your wonderful lens was a real pleasure for me.
  • MusicMadness Sep 10, 2008 @ 4:44 pm | delete
Whew! I finally made it to the bottom. I don't read too many big lenses from top to bottom, but this one I did. Your truly an inspiration to an aspiring lensmaster. Keep on obsessing! Sorry I can only give you 5 stars, you really deserve at least 6 ;)
  • EelKat Sep 9, 2008 @ 12:27 pm | delete
Well, as could be expected, my top selling lenses got hit with another round of one star rates. Such is the fact of those who tell others which of their lenses are doing the best.

Will I take down my list? No.

Will the 1 star rates effect my sales? No.

As, I've said time and again, my traffic is coming from my devoted and loyal followers who've followed me around the net since 1997, and thus giving me 1 star rates will do nothing to stop my traffic or my sales.
  • TheCandleGal Sep 3, 2008 @ 7:13 pm | delete

Lots of great tips mixed with humor. Love this lens! That is so cool you have so many roses in your garden and the one that was your great grandmother's sounds so cool! I am going to hunt for pix of your roses. Are they on one of your lenses?

I am so pleased that I found this lens. It has so many great ideas and tips about Squidoo. Having been around here for a while too I know the quality and truthfulness of the advice you are giving. One of those wonderful long lenses that people actually feel compelled to read from start to finish. I liked the humor in the photos too!

    Lots of great information here.

  • EelKat Aug 13, 2008 @ 1:48 am | delete
    @CleanerLife

    The Daleks! LOL! {{{{huggles}}}}

I add things like that to most of my lenses. Little *off* comments stuck in for no apparent reason, but actually there is a reason behind it. When people tell me they liked my lens I can say: Really? What'd you think of the Daleks?

And they are either gonna know why I asked or look at me and go: Huh?

It tells me if people actually did read the lens or not

It's a trick I picked up from a Mormon missionary, who would ask questions about the BofM to see if folks had read it or not... you know like: So what did you think of Neiphi's white horse? (there are no horses in the BofM). You'd be surprised how often folks would start talking about how much they loved the horse! LOL!

I love it when people mention one of my *added* comments, because it tells me that they really did read what I wrote otherwise they would not have noticed the *mistake*

Thank you EelKat for this awesome lens with such a lot of information. That's what I was looking for. And you are writing, what I think too. Who is writing or doing business only can do it, if is loving and you have to do it with passion - or leave it.

Thanks for the great info. You really covered a lot of topics that I haven't seen in other lenses. I like the advice about not focusing on the money. I need to get in that mindset to be more successful on squidoo. I am a newbie so wish me luck!

Nice to see that you have had some great success with Squidoo. I am just four months into it, and you have given me inspiration to keep going - someday, I hope to have as many lenses and as much success as you have had. I am sure I am not the first to say it, but good job!
  • NightSquid Jul 10, 2008 @ 6:20 am | delete
The first thing I have to say is I'm overwhelmed by the quality and quantity of this lens. Now I have a question, what is the difference between a drive by spamming and a post it note on a bathroom stall. This is not a complaint but food for thought as I think you might want to get larger sticky notes. Just kidding! I think your insight on self promotion is Priceless! Cheers

Way fabulous lens. 5 star material. Okay, now for my original contribution...I had formed a theory that you must be without kids and spouse/partner to be able to be so prolific in your life, but then I read the using post-it's tip and revised my opinion. Nevertheless, I would love to be as prolific as you are. It WOULD, however, involve getting rid of my spouse and 15 year old. Hey! There's an idea for a lens...Murdered for Squidoo! Actually I'm gathering material for my first lensography where I declare myself in the running for becoming a Giant Squid. And adding my first link in comment, here's the link (Warning: As of 6/26 it's not finished yet!) The Road to Giant Squidhood. One last P.S. Your tips on using forums is fantastic. Thank you!

Very original lens, great job, I will rank this one and bookmark it. I am still working on a health series of lenses here at Squidoo.com that involve a lens about hemroids

Hi EelKat, I love this lens. You've put a lot of yourself into it and it clearly shines through.

Normally, I'm very pressed for time and rarely devote more than a minute or two to skimming a lens. This morning, I stopped what I was doing and read the entire lens and looked at all the pics.

You have some great ideas and suggestions for building and promoting your lenses.

Congratulations on your success and I hope you have much more in the future.

    Act on your dream!

  • MayaLuna Jun 16, 2008 @ 12:42 pm | delete
Wow! Absolutely wonderful lens - it gave me fantastic info, made me smile and I couldn't believe how many interests we have in common.

I write, I draw, I paint, I visit lots of forums and my answers/questions are always way too long but I just get so into what I'm writing about. It's great to see a good long lens - I'm fairly new to all of this Squidooing and was worried I might make my own lenses too long but now I've found yours and totally 'get' that if it's interesting then it can't possibly be too long. At least I hope not!

Thanks a million for such a great read. I'm off to visit some of your other lenses, give you 5 stars and join your fan club :)

  • snoring May 19, 2008 @ 3:21 am | delete
An excellently lens full of valuable information :-) Snoring is a bigger issue in relationships than what many of my friends and experts had originally thought. Snoring is a real problem that at times can separate a couple within their own home and eventually break up a marriage or relationship without really knowing that snoring was the original underlying culprit. Visit also my site and see some other cool stuff for people who snore!
  • EelKat May 17, 2008 @ 11:02 am | delete
That comment got long enough to add to my section on pictures up there, so I just went and added it.
  • EelKat May 17, 2008 @ 10:49 am | delete
Some of the picture are screenshots off my DVDs (Pirates of the Carribean, InuYasha, etc), others came of a copyright free discs I bought (animal-nature-travel pics), the ones with words and quotes I made on paint, the little moving gifs were either made by a friend or found on a website that posts gifs to share, several came from a sig exchange site, a lot are scans from books I own (cover art, illustrations, etc) and the rest are my our art (paintings, drawings, and photographs). I have a second hard-drive installed on my computer just for picture storage as my collection has over 300,000 images in it. I use them on all of my lenses.
  • KG-peaceofmymind May 17, 2008 @ 9:26 am | delete
Hi I love your graphics and pictures! Where do you find all of this? Maybe you can make a lens on pics and stuff? If you haven't already? Anyway, Thanks for the lenses,I'm checking them out!!

I really enjoyed your lens and wanted to say that I am a notorious mispeller. I drop Ses (sp)LOL meaning more than 1 s per writing and ed's and often 'your' becomes you...I haven't been able to figure out how to fix all this except, I send it to a friend whom I call Madame Editor to read and see if she finds my booboo's....I am glad to know that someone out there besides me, especially someone is so prolific in their writing as you are, has a problem similar to mine!
You keep writing and I'll keep reading!
