- I reading about alternative energy sources for cars. Our culture really does need to make some changes. I was reading about air powered cars today, and heard they may be available as early as 2009. I think I want one. 5 stars for a great lens.

- I am really excited about the new Eestor battery coming out in the Zenn car.
The whole problem with electric vehicles is energy storage. The electrical energy is there and its not very expensive, its just a matter of storing it. The new cityZenn using the Eestor batteries is going to have a 250 miles. Now that makes EVs attractive. If you are interested in Zenn or EVs you will probably enjoy my Zenn Car Blog.

- I am getting ready to remove ther engine from my Rabbit convertible. I am hoping I can find a good home for it, as it runs fine. For 20 years I have wanted to convert a car to electric and as soon as I can pick out the right parts I will get started.

- Great info on electric car conversion. It's kind of surprising with the history of electric cars, that with the new and improved technology these days, manufactures are only barely developing these alternative fuel efficient vehicles.

One thing I see you're missing in your history is about the Toyota RAV4 Electric - these actually went into limited production and the odd ones are still operational and running around.

- Luckily, I live in NYC and ride the subway everywhere. But have you heard of MIT Dr. Cohn and his plasmatron? Also, engineer Guy Negre has invented the air car, which is scheduled to go into US production in 2010. [India's Tata Motors will be producing them in India and Mexico is considering them.] Then, Australian engineer Angelo Di Pietro has invented a rotary air engine, engineair.com. Dunno what, if anything, is happening with fuel cells?
