Who is Els Van Den Eynde?

This lens is about Els Van Den Eynde, an author who writes childrens stories and poetry as well.

Els Van Den Eynde, my favorite author.

A poem for a loved one passing away.

To the man I respect and love, A Father, A Husband, A Teacher. May you find peace and joy in the place you will go.

Each time I return to Africa I know I won't be alone, someone will be wandering the feld, watching over me.

Eye of the stars

The light I knew so well will not warm me again
It is but the memory of its soul that will enfold me now
Few are those I loved as much as I love the man who is about to die.

Go, eye of the stars, eternal Aborigine. Go.
Another 60 years from now, we will unite anew

and irradiate the sky, my rays and yours intertwined.

    Dear Els,
    this is really lovely!
Makes a lot of sense too!
Luckily eternity is eternal so it gives us lots of time to meet time and time and again.
What is wonderful is that we do meet often...... as the immensity is so huge - yes we are weaving links of affinity & love & thus come back to each other on & on.....
So I wish very strongly that the person who has gone on his way does meet you again.
And that this poem come up again as a lovely flower for both of you.
    All the best,
    Annick
