Who doesn't like to be rewarded for their effort? In the workplace, employee awards make very powerful motivational tools. When you reward employees for their effort, they reward you with continued hard work and achievement. Here are some reasons why you need employee award programs at your business.

This is important because when your employees are happy, they will continue to want to work for you. This means that in the long run, employee rewards lead to greater employee retention. - Like the fact this article focuses on employee rewards and not just being paid. There certainly is something to be said about employee retention and rewarding staff for contribution is important. Have you thought about long service rewards, which is another need for recognition. Anyone working at a company for more than 10 years really should get a trophy or even engraved gold or silver pocket watches maybe as a great reminder.

- Enjoyed this lens on awards, it's funny sometimes awards are more memorable than cash bonuses... as long as it's not a toaster. Five stars bud.
