Encinitas, California, is 26 miles north of San Diego and 95 miles south of Los Angeles. The first thing that attracts your attention in Encinitas are the 2.6 miles of beautiful cliffs.

Founded about 100 years ago, the City of Encinitas, California, actually has five separate communities each with its own lifestyle flavor. Other than "historic Encinitas, there is "New Encinitas" that focuses on El Camino Real. "Cardiff-by-the-Sea" consists of many interesting homes that sit on the hillsides near the ocean. You will find many giant eucalyptus trees in "Leucadia". "Olivenhain" (the German for "olive grove") offers more space and a rural life aspect.
