Not all women experience morning sickness but, for those who do, what can be done to relieve it?Asic and Vomifene are over-the-counter drugs specifically formulated for morning sickness cure. They are not known to have harmful side effects on the mother or baby and can be very effective to combat nausea. Every pregnancy is different and what may work for you in one pregnancy will not necessarily be effective for another. Get emotional support from your partner. Try deep-breathing, meditation and yoga. Motion sickness wrist bands.
Stay positive - it will end.
Possible causes of morning sickness are low blood sugar, low blood pressure, lack of zinc, hormonal changes, food deficiency, an excess of refined, spicy or greasy foods, emotional ambivalence about the pregnancy, pressure on the stomach in the last few weeks of pregnancy.
Try not to:
Cook or eat greasy or fried foods.
Drink anything containing caffeine, such as coffee, cola, tea. Brush your teeth immediately after meals - just putting a toothbrush in your mouth can make you gag.
Get up suddenly.
ยป Wear tight clothes. Trying to squeeze into your normal clothes can put pressure on your stomach and worsen the nausea. Come within smelling distance of drains, rubbish and animal excreta. Perfume, cigarette smoke and exhaust fumes can also upset you.
Take iron tablets for the first three months unless your gynae instructs you otherwise. Get in your car without sickness bags. Listen to people who tell you it is all in your mind. Get despondent
