Minimize your margin. A margin of .75 inch (95 words per line) or .50 inch (101 words per line) content more words per line than the Microsoft's default of 1.25 inch (82 words per line). Decreasing your page margins can make a big difference on total page count, especially on longer documents.
Fine-tune your font. As my comparison by using Microsoft's default margin of 1.25 inch Font size 12 content 82 words per line while Font size 10 can held 98 words per line. Using a smaller font such as 10 or 11 points can greatly reduce the length of your documents.
Fine tuning on our document using the tips of print smart would save a lot of paper usage in our printing document. In other way, the printing cost will reduce by reducing the paper usage in our printing document.
Don't know how to set the Margins?

Tip #2 - Energy saving on computer
Power saving setting. Power saving setting such as monitor turn-off time or system standby time can save most of the electricity usage for a computer. A computer in idle mode uses 20 to 50 times more power then a computer in standby mode. The recommended monitor turn-off time is 15 minutes and system standby time is 30 minutes.
Disable Screen Saver. Screen Saver actually use 28 percent more power. Instead, set your computer to standby settings when you're away from your desk for more than 30 minutes.
This will save some of your electric bill payment. The energy saved by using these settings may be small, but when you consider the number of computers that are now used at work and home, the total effect can be enormous.
Tip #3 - Energy Saving on electronic device
Switch to Energy Saving Lightbulbs. Change to Compact Fluorescent Light(CFLs) or Light Emitting Diode (LEDs) bulbs will reduce most of the energy usage in your house. CFLs and LEDs can produce the same amount of light with the normal lightbulbs but use up to 80% - 90% less electricity than a normal lightbulbs.
Turn it off and use Natural Light. This is the best pratices of all, we should turn off electronic device such as lights, TV, Radio or any appliances when we are not using it. Using natural light during daylight hours also can save a lot of energy.
These are some tips to saving you money and reducing your environmental footprint.

Keep it down in the winter and Bump it up in the summer. Lower your thermostat 1-2 degrees in the winter and Set your air conditioner to 78°F (25°C) in the summer. Check your filter regularly to keep the optimum state. Or use a programmable thermostat to keep the house warm or cool only when someone is home. It could save a lot of energy and your monthly utility bill.
Shower time. Did you know that hot water typically accounts for 13 percent of a utility bill? Turn down the temperature of your hot water heater to 120°F (49°C) could reduce the heater's energy consumption by 3-5% and turn the temperature to low when you're on vacation.
