Disney World Restaurants: Epcot Theme Park Restaurants for Teens and Older Kids
Ranked #6,866 in Travel & Places, #187,579 overall | Donates to Salvation Army: Indiana Division
Great places to dine in Epcot with your teens, t'weens, and older kids.
Epcot is "the" food theme park at Walt Disney World and Epcot has a lot of interesting choices that might be fun for your teen or older child. Be aware that the Garden Grill in the Land Pavilion and Akershus Banquet Hall in the Norway pavilion serve character meals. We personally don't prefer the food at the China and American pavilions - you can find better examples of these cuisines almost anywhere and at a much lower cost. The great thing about these restaurants is that they only require one Disney Dining Plan table-service credit per person.
We aren't including counter-service / fast food type locations in this list - just table service restaurants.
You'll need a Disney theme park admission ticket to enter Disney's Epcot theme park, even if you're only going there to dine. If you're driving, parking will be about $14 for the day.
We have links below to our articles about dining with teens in the other Disney theme parks, Downtown Disney, and resort hotel restaurants.

- Healthy Counter Service choices at Walt Disney World
- There a lots of healthy choices at WDW. You can obviously find nutritious option at the sit-down restaurants but here are some counter-service restaurant recommendations from the Disneyworld theme parks and water parks.
Best restaurants for teens in Epcot
- Coral Reef / The Seas Pavilion ~ This restaurant is neat because one whole wall looks into the giant aquarium and Coral Reef reservations tend to go quickly because this restaurant has been featured on several television programs. Because of the glass & cement necessary in this structure, the restaurant is surprisingly noisy. We think lunch reservations are better than dinner because you'll probably still be in the Future World area at lunchtime. Most people will be in the World Showcase area later in the day. The food doesn't quite live up to the cost - you're paying for the experience here.
- Restaurant Marrakesh / Morocco Pavilion ~ The Middle Eastern décor is a departure from most teens' usual dining experiences. The food is also a little different but not too exotic for a reasonably curious diner - the less adventurous will be able to fall back on the Chicken Kebabs. Try to time your reservation to coincide with the live music & belly dancing performance that occurs periodically through the day. This is Disney so the belly dancing is family friendly.
- Rose & Crown Pub / United Kingdom pavilion ~ People actually from the United Kingdom either love or hate this restaurant, there doesn't seem to be much middle ground. The food is filling but this restaurant makes our teen list only because it "may" be possible to dine outside during the IllumiNations fireworks. I say it "may be possible" because you currently cannot reserve outdoor seating in advance. You must make your reservation, then you can request outdoor seating when you check in but there are no guarantees.
- San Angel Inn / Mexico Pavilion ~ Though the Mexican food isn't the most authentic you'll find, this restaurant beautifully resembles dining at twilight in a Mexican plaza where you'll see the boats from the "Gran Fiesta Tour" ride go by. This is "el-fancy-schmancy" Disney-style Mexican food so expect table cloths and food that goes beyond standard taco fare. You don't need to worry about dressing for dinner, everyone in here is a tourist from the theme park. The soft lighting can be a welcome respite after a day in the Disney parks. This is a very popular restaurant with older kids and teens.
- Teppan Edu / Japan Pavilion ~ Similar to Benihana's. Guests eat at around a cooking surface where Teppan Chefs prepare certain menu items with flair right there in front of you.
- Do-It-Yourself IllumiNations Dessert Buffet ~ Tihs isn't a table-service restaurant; just a little something we enjoy. People start claiming their spot for viewing the IllumiNations fireworks early, especially during the busy season. Any spot with an unobstructed view of the center of the lake will provide a good view. Once you find your place, send one or two from your group to get a selection of desserts from the Germany, France, and/or Norway counter-service restaurants and bring them back to the family (don't forget forks!). You'll be able to enjoy dessert and some fun family conversation while you wait. TIP: Spots near the Canada & United Kingdom pavilions tend to go quickly because it puts people a little closer to the front of the park, where most will have to exit after the fireworks. We actually like to find a spot on the far end of the lake and then take our time leaving the park - it is beautiful after dark.
