Everybody Eats

I was surprised that celebrities (or their publicists) were posting on Squidoo's evil cousin MySpace. The idea of a website based around personal profiles just smacks of those desperate "dating" sites. No wonder parents and cops alike are horrified!

Anyway, I soon discovered that Rachael Ray (or the editors of her magazine) had a Squidoo page.

30 Minute Meals

It shouldn't have surprised me. Rachael is everywhere lately. She's pretty and energetic and on a mission to replace those dreadful "fast food" meals with something a little cheaper, more nutritious and fun.

Fortunately, a lot of people are getting the message. Teenagers today have medical conditions that seldom developed earlier than one's forties a few years ago, and obesity-related diseases have replaced cancer as the number one killer in America.

You don't have to go on crazy extreme diet to avoid these problems, you just have to start making smarter choices about "junk" food, which is easy when you know how to prepare quick and easy meals instead.

Rachael became an "overnight sensation" after growing up in the restaurant business when she began her "30-minute Mediterranean Meals" segment for WRGB-TV in upstate New York. This soon became a popular TV show on the Food Network, and gave rise to (currently) ten cookbooks.

Slightly More than 30-Minute Meals

Once you've gotten over the hamburger and taco diet, you might want to be (just a little) more adventurous, and you'd probably enjoy Giada De Laurentiis' Giada's Family Dinners

Italian Cuisine is a lot more varied than the sterotypical pasta, and though one reviewer laments that these recipes "don't take all day to prepare," the vast majority seem to appreciate that fact!

I've never quite been sure what distinguishes a blog from a regular webpage. Timeliness seems to have something to do with it, but that doesn't seem to be a hard and fast rule.

Anyway, here are some of the things I've been working on lately...
