This book is a bunch of crap!
I do not think any child is unable to grasp the concept of poop, to the point of requiring a book specifically devoted to it. What will they learn from Uncle Bob and public school if they already know all there is to know about poop? Sure read it once, have a good laugh. But you don't really want this book on the shelf to be brought out to you every bedtime. Do you?
And you may say that it is a potty book, and there is a need for potty books, but doesn't this particular potty book just make them fascinated with poop at the zoo. Doesn't it just encourage potty humor. It focuses very little on the potty for a potty book.

A lot of kids are brought up by their parents either not knowing that everyone poops (yes, there are a lot of kids that don't realise this - their parents are too prudish), or they're actually raised to think it's bad. It's normal.

More information on Everyone Poops
From Wikipedia
Everyone Poops is the title of US editions of the English translation (by Amanda Mayer Stinchecum) of , a Japanese children's book written and illustrated by the prolific children's author Tar? Gomi and first published in Japan by Fukuinkan Shoten in 1977 within the series Kagaku no Tomo Kessaku-sh? (i.e. Masterpieces of the friends of science).
The English translation has been published in the US by Kane/Miller, within the series "My Body Science", and by Scholastic. In Britain, the book is titled Everybody Poos and is published by Frances Lincoln.
The book tells children that all animals defecate, and that they have always done so.
The book has also been translated into Spanish and Thai.
