Political Art in Situa

This Lense presents picture of art works place on certain fields in Exeter Uk. The aim on all these pieces is both to mark a territory, but also to comment of the politics, global and internation, is a space everyone shares.
My rules for these pieces is that they must be highly visible and yet not discordant with the over all landscape.
The must intrigue, and contain symbolism which anyone who wanted to 'research' further could uncover, and yet which remains partially enigmatic.
they are always pt up when numerous other people are around. In spite of being appealing there must at times be an applied threat to someone or something.

Piece 1: Marking the land

These are two standards. one answer a naff piece of public sculpture, which saw the sea-fayer riddle place under a Buoy, as a part of a massive (and utterly pointless) development of the Exeter Quay. the answer is in he form of a staff of which I placed the Ruins from the Husbands answer, which is another anglo-saxon poem.The aim was to have something beautiful and mysteries in answer to the bland one-entity the council had put up.
the second is a warning of the smell of a carcass rendering plant, overlooking the meadow and which if you are lucky merely smells of Maggots...

Four Standrads

These standars move from the Devil to via Saxon Long man, and a roman standard Saint Christopher as you see them, the back again.
they are all made of Withies, one which was then woven varies foliages, which will weather at very different rate, revealing copper wire inside..
