Trampoline

If you're going to invest in a good trampoline, you would want to make sure you take care of your trampoline. Try to cover your trampoline with a weather cover as often as possible, when not in use. Make sure to apply UV protectant on the spring pad to help prolong the longevity of the PVC. The UV protectant sprays can be bought at most autopart stores or Target. The spring pad is made of PVC material, which is plastic-like material, so make sure it's can be used that for that purpose.

There is no UV protectant that can help the safety net enclosure. To help protect the longevity of the safety net enclosure, make sure no one rebounds or bounces against the net. It's only used as a safety precaution, not as a jumping apparatus. If there's a choice between an inside vs. an outside net enclosure, it's best to purchase the outside net enclosure. If the spring pad is wide and thick enough, the outside net enclosure last much longer, because there's less pulling and tugging.

Try to avoid pushing the trampoline around the yard. The more the trampoline gets pushed around, the more likely the welded joints will crack. However, if the trampoline t-joints instead of welded joints, it'll have more stability and will last much longer. Also, if the frame is thick and fully galvanized, it can withstand more severe weather conditions. Make sure the frame and springs are fully galvanized, both inside and out. Full galvanization will protect the metal from rust and corrosion.

If you're expecting hurricanes or tornados, always disassemble the entire trampoline and store indoors. 100 mile per hour wind conditions will blow any trampoline away, no matter the weight of the trampoline.

During the long winter months, be sure to remove the spring pad and safety net enclosure and store them indoors. Leaving soft parts outdoors through the winter months can do a lot of harm. Cover your trampoline daily or store away when not in use for a long time. Taking proper care of your trampoline can lead to great summer months. Last thing you want is your kids to jump on a trampoline with a damaged spring pad or torn safety net enclosure, because you didn't take care of it during the winter months. A trampoline that's well taken care of can last for many many years.
