Let me tell you how it works.

The music for the lights display runs through the FM Transmitter and then is broadcast to vehicles cruising down the road. They tune their car to the same station the transmitter is tune to.

I'll show you one of these light displays in a second, but first let's talks schematics.

Most people choose those cheap tiny versions from big box stores. And they always seem disappointed when the fm transmitter does not broadcast the distance they expect.

It's why you should always opt for one which is well built and can broadcast the legal distance of 150 feet.

Some dashboard models are so chinsey you would be lucky if they broadcast three feet, one we liked was the Whole House FM Transmitter. It blasted out to 150 feet.

In case you don't have one of those new cars with an auxiliary input, you can use a FM Transmitter to play your iPhone and iPod in your car.

It's really simple too.

All you do is plug in your iPhone into the fm transmitter and then tune both of them to a frequency on the fm dial and you should be able to listen to your music.

It's amazing what happens when you can listen to your favorite books, musics and videos while eliminating the hum of the tires with your very own audio selection.
