Fabulous finds from fantastic places

I admit it: I am addicted to web surfing. I spend a tremendous amount of time on the internet for both work and for fun and I do a lot of research in many different areas. That means I come across a lot of cool sites. I thought you might like it if I shared a few with you. I also really recommend "Stumble!" - you put in your interests, click the button and you come up with some very interesting sites. Be sure to let it know whether you're looking for family-friendly or not though! It wouldn't do to be surfing with your kids and come across something you'd rather they not see. Otherwise - surf away and let me know what you find that you love! You never know what you might find.

LIFE

We took a trip to the Oregon Country Fair in Eugene (coming up again this July 2008) and found many amazing things. This is definitely a must-visit at least once.

ART

I love this painting, although I don't know the artist's name. I will, however, have the opportunity to travel to New York this summer and plan on visiting the MoMA while I'm there. It looks like they have a great collection and an enticing store! MoMA Store

I see that MoMA has a bit of a Picaso collection, some of the pieces of which I was fortunate enough to see when they came to L.A. - about 15 years ago. My great-aunt Yvonne Gwinn was an artist and used to talk about how she and her husband were invited to Picaso's birthday party, but chose to go see the car races instead. Hmm. Interesting choice.

SCIENCE

Okay, this picture is really more art than science. I don't know who the artist of this piece is either. I came across it at the local fair a few years ago. However, if it is something you would like to buy, I know where to get it made! Anyway, I'll be putting more actually-related-to-science things here soon so my little science section will actually be just that!
