What Pitfalls to Avoid in FarmVille

It is not real complicated to learn how to do FarmVille. You plant crops, harvest crops, and purchase numerous items along with buildings in the game's market so you can dress up your farm. In FarmVille it is not that difficult to make progress, however you should know of some pitfalls you need to attempt to steer clear of as you go forward. Would you have thought you needed strategy to farm?

The Key to Plowing Click Here

To make the kind of money you want from the farm, you will need to plow a good portion of the land to plant in crops. This is the right idea, but you have to go about it wisely. You have to spend money to plow on top of the seeds you buy to plant. So don't use all the money you have to plow the land and not leave anything to buy the seeds for planting. When you can't plant any seeds you can't make any money!

Be certain you can plant all the land you are going to plow before you clear any of it or any new land. Plant all the plots you have already plowed before plowing more, and you will know better what you can do, as far as plowing and planting more land. This way you get the best use from your present plots, and then when you harvest you will be able to clear and plant some more plots.

Timing is Important

It is normal to be tempted to plant the crops that give you the best return for your money. However you will not get a good return if you are not able to harvest your plants before they die. So as you are deciding what to plant and when to plant it, then also think of your personal schedule and make sure you can be around for the harvest time at your farm.

The various plants mature at varying times, and can die at varying times. As an example, one crop could mature in 4 hours and can wither or die in 8 hours after that. On the other hand it may mature in 2 days and then die in 4 days. So if your schedule will not permit you to get back for a particular crop the simply don't grow that one and pick another. This is difficult sometimes because some of the short-term plants have big benefits. You need to remember though if the crops die before they can be harvested by you, then you won't have a harvest and that means you don't make any money.

It is normal to wish to move ahead quickly so you can make more cash, but you need to do this realistically thinking about the actual time you can spend tending your farm. If you get too ambitious it may hurt you in the long run. If you calculate your cycles of planting and harvesting correctly and only plow the amount of land you can plant at the time you will easily reach success with your FarmVille farm.

3 Secrets to Success in FarmVille

Add Many Neighbors

There is more than one reason that having many neighbors in FarmVille can benefit you. The main reason is that to expand the area of your farm you will need so many neighbors to do so. There are other rewards you get by have a certain number of neighbors and from the neighbors themselves.

Work to Earn Ribbons

You will earn ribbons along the way without even trying just by doing your planting and your harvesting. But you will also see that while getting these ribbons you are also being awarded coins and experience points. This is why you should concentrate on earning a large number of ribbons, this will help you move up easier in FarmVille and accumulate more coins.

Build a Lot

There are many choices for items that you are able to purchase at the market for sprucing up the farm you have made. All these items are not of equal value though. Especially as you advance to the upper levels where it is more difficult to keep going up, due to the quantity of the experience points you will need to accomplish this. You are able to earn a lot of these experience points simply by adding buildings to your farm. This method is the best for improving your experience points quickly.

Picking the right crops in Farmville

Anyone that starts playing Farmville, eventually wants to be the best. Picking the right crops in Farmville is an essential part of your strategy to build you farm as big and quick as possible. Different crops grow at different rates; as well different crops bring different amounts of money. They also cost different amounts of money to buy. Although each crop will sell for more than you purchase the seeds for, there are other factors to take into consideration first.

Profit Margin
It would be easy to say that you could sell a crop for 200 coins per plot, which only cost 100 coins per slot to plant, therefore, you make a profit of 100 coins. That is not completely true. You will also have to figure in the price of plowing. Plowing costs money, therefore, you will need to deduct that from your profits. You will absolutely make a profit if you continue to plow, plant, then harvest. Do you know how much of a profit? If you don't care, as long as you make money, then by all means, have fun. However, a little thought into what you are planning to plant could extend your earnings beyond imaginable. Thinking about high profit margins of artichokes, compared to raspberries, seems like a no brainer, due to such a higher profit for artichokes. Artichokes do sell for over 200 coins per planted plot but it takes 4 days for these crops to mature and with raspberries only making around 40 coins per plot, you do have the opportunity to harvest these every two hours. This way, if you do the math, raspberries, will make you more money, in a quick period of time. Other crops could have different profit margins, and it doesn't take much effort to strategize about what will work for you.

Essential Timing
Although you may think, by the previous statement, that now raspberries are more profitable, you should consider how quickly they will wither if you cannot get back to them quick enough. All crops on FarmVille wither at the same rate as they mature so if raspberries are harvestable in 2 hours, they will wither in 4 hours. Ideally raspberries would not be the crop of choice to plant before you go to bed, unless you are going to get up to play FarmVille. With this in mind, think about artichokes, which take 4 days to mature, also will not wither for 8 days, giving you a lot more time to play with if your offline schedule happens to be very busy.

Ultimately, you will know your schedule better than most others. You will need to devise a plan that will work the best for you, and that you can accomplish, and in turn, your profits will be well deserved and your FarmVille experience will be much more desirable.
