Ranked #1,812 in Movies & TV, #48,726 overall

"Blue Harvest" is the hour-long premier to the sixth season of the FOX series Family Guy, originally aired on September 23, 2007.

The episode is a retelling/parody of Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope, recasting the show's characters into Star Wars roles. For the first time in the history of Family Guy, this episode runs an hour long with commercials (48 minutes for the DVD version). It was also made to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Star Wars franchise. The name "Blue Harvest" is a reference to the title of the film used to ensure secrecy and disguise the actual 1981-1983 production of Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi.

Drawing 10.7 million viewers the night of its original airing, it was the second most-watched of the series, following only "North By North Quahog"(11.9 million), the episode that marked the shows return in 2005. The episode ranks number 17 of The Futon Critic's Top 50 episodes of 2007. A repeat of the episode on Fox in April 2008 brought in 7 million viewers.
