Jims farm

Athens Foodie

Jims Farm is a 5 acre micro farm located in Winterville GA. We farm according to organic and sustainable methods and are registered as an exempt grower.

We currently have ~ 2 acres in CSA, Farmers Market, and restaurant production.

We also have several raised beds, ~100 feet, that are empty except for green mulch cover, and we are looking for farmers to use them. They have irrigation supplied from our well and are in full sun locations. Serious replies only please, caring for the earth means devoting a good amount of time and personal energy.

We have beds planted in blueberries and also plant tomatoes, peppers, eggplants, etc. Our soil has been tested and is good growing soil, about the only thing we add is compost and occasionally lime. Mentoring is available, but experience counts.

We are looking for Individuals, families, etc. to "adopt" one or two of our beds. Vegetables or flowers can be grown, as long as organic methods are followed. What you grow in your bed is yours; in return we will negotiate a rental fee, work on our farm or an exchange of goods or services. jimsfarm@alltel.net
