As you can see, the more you spend on the hay bales the more you experience points you get. Which could really spend you climbing up levels depending on where you are in the game.

Personally I choose to plant strawberries because of the amount of coins you can earn. However, the trick to strawberries is making sure you harvest them when ready (every 4 hours). With that said I have also heard if you plant peas on a 20x17 (340) lot you will earn 59,840 coins per harvest. Something to consider depending on how much time you can devote to playing.
