What is the Fat Smash Diet really?
The Fat Smash Diet is (in a nut shell) a 90 Day four phase plan in losing weight.
These phases are:
Fat Smash Diet: Phase 1 - Detoxification. This phase lasts for a nine days and for the most part limits you to eating fruits and vegetables. This phase is said to clean you of any impurities that are in your body. During this phase the author claims that people shed up to 10 pounds in this phase alone. Nothing new here if you ask me.
Fat Smash Diet: Phase 2 - Foundation. This is a three week phase that allows you to eat some of the foods that you couldn't eat during the detoxification phase. The author stresses portion control in this phase as oppose to calorie counting. Many of you have probably heard this before.
Fat Smash Diet: Phase 3 - Construction. This is a four week phase that again allows you to eat more of what you want, but again focusing on portion control. Sound familiar, huh.
Fat Smash Diet: Phase 4 - Temple. The remaining time in this phase is all about maintaining the weight loss that you have achieved so far, as well as, continuing to lose more weight and changing your lifestyle. You can eat anything you want now basically, BUT, now you should have a self-control that you didn't have before the Fat Smash Diet. Maintaining self-control is the ultimate goal here.
There are of course many other nuggets of advice that the author gives (such as exercising regularly, and many eating suggestions), but nothing that would stand out to the average person. Some doctors would even agree that the "Detoxification" phase of the Fat Smash Diet isn't even necessary as the body is created to doing this anyway with healthy eating habits.
VERDICT
Overall The Fat Smash Diet is a standard diet program, but if you are looking for something FASTER than a 90 day plan with TESTED and EXPLOSIVE results I would highly suggest:
