- I love this idea. One thing to be careful of is that you don't create a space where a burglar could enter and exit your home without being seen. Use common sense safety measures, and be sure to get a reliable home security company to protect your home.

- If you are installing a chain link fence you will need to set posts in the ground first to attach the fence too. The posts you need will depend on the setting, but typically they will be either wooden, concrete, or steel, and should be set in concrete. The posts should not be more than 10 feet apart, but this obviously depends on where you're building the fence, and how big the fence needs to be. Once the posts are erected, the fencing is attached at one end and stretched the length of the fence. Any excess fencing can easily be removed by unscrewing a wire.
