Fender Eric Clapton Antigua Stratocaster Electric Guitar Features and Specs

Fender Eric Clapton Antigua Stratocaster Electric Guitar

In the 1970s Fender introduced the Antigua finish on a number of models from the flagship Stratocaster to the classic Coronado Bass. Described as a "rich antique-white finish with halo-mist shading," it was a stunner - and became highly prized among collectors around the world.

In 1988, Fender released its first ever signature model guitar - the Eric Clapton Stratocaster. Several variations of the model have been released since, from Custom Shop specialties to the current Artist Series models. In 1998 Eric Clapton's vision of opening a world-class drug and alcohol treatment center on the island of Antigua became a reality. The non-profit Crossroads Center has developed into an internationally recognized treatment center providing services to individuals and their families suffering from the devastating effects of addiction.

In 2008 Sam Ash incorporated the spirit of the Eric Clapton Strat with the spirit of the Crossroads Center. We commissioned a limited run of only 100 pieces of the signature model in the classic Antigua finish along with a commitment to donate $100,000 to the Crossroads Center. That is how the Fender Eric Clapton Antigua Stratocaster was born. This exclusive instrument is currently being built by the Fender Custom Shop.

These highly collectible guitars are available on a first come, first served basis.
