Everyone dreams, everyone wishes. What would you do if you were given a million dollars, no strings attached? How would you use it? What would you spend it on?
What would you do with a million dollars?

A million dollars, that is allot of money. Well, for the majority of us, that is allot of money.What would I do? That is easy for me to answer; and no, I would not give the whole million to the shelter. $500,000. Did that surprise you?
I would take $250,000 and set up a trust that would help grass root shelter operators. Not the shelters, but the operators themselves, because sometimes the operator needs help too. I am not exactly sure how to set it up, but if I get the chance, I know a person that would help.
The details of the hows and such would have to be worked out, but it would be worked out. I am sure there is a way to invest it so there would be interest to help keep it replenishing itself. Now remember, I am dreaming here, wishful thinking, so of course the funds would replenish, somehow! LOL!!!
With the remaining $250,000 I would keep, I would pay off the mortgage, waterproof the basement (the basement floods every time it rains) and help my sisters.
That is it. That is what I would do with a million dollars, what would you do?
Remember, this is the place to dream and visualize, who knows, it just may happen someday.

I would buy a nice house, two nice cars for me and Ly, donate maybe $100k to charity, then put the rest in the bank to retire on. Oh, and I would definitely keep on working - a million would not support us for a lifetime, after all, and I wouldn't want to go broke like so many lottery winners do. Posted October 22, 2006 |
