- The idea of "melodic" death metal sounds so bizarre I might just have to check out Opeth. I recently discovered Lacuna Coil and Kamelot after bouncing from track to track on YouTube (started at a Nightwish video and followed the recommendations) which I find is a great way to stumble onto groups I've never heard of. I'll be checking out some of the others you have listed here too...love finding new bands! :)
