Art brings glory to the world around us by freezing moments in time and showing the beauty of simple objects.
Representational art, (art that looks like something) is the truest form of abstraction. Using shapes of color in the right place to give the illusion of a three dimensional world on a two dimensional surface.
Abstract expressionists attempt to depict the feeling of something, well if a gallery director needs to explain the feeling the artist is trying to convey than the art is a failure. A beautifully executed representational oil painting can generate emotions in the viewer all on it's own, it doesn't need to be explained. we are in the early stages of a representational art renaissance, and we are glad it is happening.
We Live Art, and that's a Good Thing!
Most people don't think about art, and can't understand why some people do. At our house art is ever present, 90% of everything we do is art related. We create it, we buy it, we look at it, we study it, we read about it, and we enjoy all of it.
