Mark your calendars!
March 5,2009 from 6-8 pm.
Call 215-752-5756 or click here for more information on OPAF's First clinics.
"First Bid" is OPAF's fundraiser and benefit auction event which will be held Thursday evening, March 5 from 6-8 PM at the Atlanta Hilton during the AAOP meeting in Atlanta, GA.
Live auction, silent auction and more...We will be featuring a "Southern" theme with our First Bid refreshments, to include BBQ pulled pork, Vidalia onion rings, pimento cheese spread, and peach salsa. We will be looking for ways to work the Southern theme in to all aspects of the evening. Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated and will be gladly received by Darren Donnelly, OPAF Vice President or Robin Burton, OPAF ED. Brad Mattear has graciously agreed to once again serve as our auctioneer for the evening.
We will also have a special display of artwork produced by amputee children from Camp No Limits. Brooke Artesi will be matting and framing each piece and each will be displayed with a brief bio and photo of the child artist.

What we love about OPAF programs!
Raving Fans - First Volley
"We loved the competitive play. It was fun and I hope to do it again and again. I hope First Volleys never stop. It has made me love tennis." Michael Lavanga
"I was so happy that we had our first competitive round robin, it was great. It was a little confusing at first with the point system. I did catch on. It was excellent to see excitement on peoples faces." JoAnne Cohen
"I can't believe that I was actually serving the ball in the square!!!! Thank you so much" Susan Lazarchick
"Thank you Robin and Darren for doing such a wonderful job. I was glad to help out." John Laughlin
"Thank you Robin!" Maggie Coe
"It was fun" Julia Philon
"I love competitive play!!!" Horst Behner
"This was exactly the sort of activity and training I needed to get back into athletic activity. Hosting location wasn't inconvenient, just far away. Boy, what an event First Volley was! I am thoroughly impressed with how well you guys run things, and with the fact that everyone involved actually gives a d**n. Now you've actually got me thinking of taking a couple of days off to do a "First Weekend" and hit First Volley and First Swing in Atlanta in March (since I have friends in Atlanta anyway.)" Dennis Crowley
"We loved the competitive tennis portion. It was great to see the developing tennis skills in action. Again, the impact the pros have is amazing." Erik Rebstock
"I loved the individual instruction the kids received regarding tennis technique" Linda Rebstock
Raving Fans - First Swing
"The instructors were great. They did a super job with the children and adults. They were able to deal with a diverse group of limitations. Well done to the team," Ashley Thomas
"It was fun taking lessons in a wheelchair and hitting balls. It would take too much time and too many strokes to play a match, even on a Par 3. Let me know when you hold the next class. Thanks for putting the golf outing together," David Robertson.
"This event was great for adults and children," Deborah Jackson
"I was very impressed with the entire clinic. This was my first OPAF clinic and I learned a lot and gained practical experience which was great. I would love to attend other First Clinics if they were hosted nearby," Elizabeth Nixon.
"Had Fun!" John Book
"Excellent presentation and hands on instruction. Facilities also first rate! Please repeat sometime," Nick LaRaia, PT
"I was pleased to see that instructors in most cases were proactive in helping attendees, instead of them waiting for the attendees to approach them with questions," Scott Mullins
"Very well done! Have gone out to play once, hit the ball well, but had difficulty walking on uneven slopes," Kevin McMahon.
