- First Dive Makes Splash in Buffalo
- First Dive, an adaptive "try scuba" clinic, made a big splash June 24 in Buffalo, New York. The clinic, sponsored by the Orthotic & Prosthetic Assistance Fund Inc. (OPAF), along with Phoenix Scuba and Water Sports and the Western New York Adaptive Water Sports, hosted both First Dive and a Train the Trainer session.
- OPAF's First Volley Receives $20,000 Grant
- At the USTA Middle States Philadelphia Area Tennis District's Annual Meeting & Awards Brunch, USTA Tennis & Education Foundation Executive Director Karen Martin-Eliezer presented grant checks to two programs-Orthotic & Prosthetic Assistance Fund (OPAF) and Arthur Ashe Youth Tennis,
which were funded by the Foundation at year-end 2006. - OPAF's First Volley Makes Rounds
- The Orthotic & Prosthetic Assistance Fund Inc. (OPAF) recently held a First Volley Adaptive Tennis Clinic for the Amputee Coalition of America (ACA) Youth Camp July 18-22 in Warm Springs, Georgia. OPAF and First Volley also participated in the ISPO Consumer Day activities August 1 in Vancouver, Canada. First Volley received rave reviews from campers and counselors, and all those in attendance at the events left with smiles and new tennis skills, said OPAF Executive Director Robin Burton.

- Stan Backovsky, a tennis instructor for the O&P Assistance Fund (OPAF) First Volley, was a featured player recently at the San Diego District Tennis Association (SDDTA) annual Tennis Fest at the Balboa Tennis Club, San Diego, California.

- The Orthotic and Prosthetic Assistance Fund Inc. (OPAF), founder of the First VolleyTM Adaptive Tennis clinics, has certified Kyle Devlin as a First Volley instructor.
- First Volley & USTA
- The Orthotic and Prosthetic Assistance Fund (OPAF) launched their newest program, First Volley, an adaptive tennis clinic for amputees and orthotic wearers on August 7 at Bucks County Racquet Club located in Washington Crossing, PA. The reviews are in and the event was a huge success!
- OPAF Launches First Volley Tennis Clinic
- First Volley was the brainchild of Robin Burton and Darren Kindred. "We can envision First Volley growing very rapidly to a national level as there is a need for excellent adaptive tennis instruction and a desire by the O&P community for these kinds of opportunities. It was wonderful to see the enthusiasm of not only the players, but the tennis staff as well," said Burton.
