Stars Pleased Grandma
My 19 month old grandaughter is an elmo lover (who isn't) so I got Elmo
live encore for her for Christmas. In the meantime, I took her to a toy
store where she sat in front of the boxed Elmos pushing his stomach and
laughing at his antics. This is a great toy, they have thought of
everything, educational, and fun together. The price at Amazon beats
most of the stores, the delivery was great, and I know there will be
one happy grandaughter come Christmas. Love Amazon and Elmo!

Stars Great fun and adorable for a Elmo collector
My wife has all of the Elmo Live type dolls and this one is adorable.
Anyone will enjoy it. She took it to a retirement home and was
immediately surrounded by lots of elderly people and they could not
stop laughing.

Stars Just okay...kind of boring if you ask me!
I had high expectations for this toy and it's not as great as I thought
it would be. I think the part that really makes this toy boring is the
lengthy tirades of "storytelling" that Elmo does and this is not
something of great interest to a toddler. The parts that my toddler
does like are when he laughs or says something when he is being
carried. My toddler has no interest in his lengthy stories. It's a cute
toy in Elmo's annoying little way and my daughter loves when he starts
laughing because she puts her hand in his mouth. Otherwise, it mostly
sits in the corner collecting dust since she takes little interest in
playing with him. I think it probably has a lot to do with not
understanding (or caring about) the long boring stories Elmo flaps his
jaws about that, even as an adult, are very difficult to understand
(because of his high-pitched voice).

Stars Elmo Encore Rocks!! :) :)
Everyone will love this one. We all thought the original was good-This
one is GREAT. If you don't smile or laugh then you must be a grouch. My
grandaughter will absolutely adore this one as well as everyone else.

Stars Fun interactive toy
After you get past all the safety latches on the elmo live encore you
will be amazed at how life like they have made elmo in comparison to
some of the other versions(rock n roll elmo and limbo elmo come to
mind). One thing that I consider negative is that his
speaking/singing/instrumental voice is loud. For a toy that doesn't
travel, and is meant to be watched, and poked it doesn't seem an
appropriate volume. I would hate for someone to scream a short story at
me. Second, his body is kind of hard plastic so he is not snuggable, I
would have thought that they would have fixed that from the first
version, but I guess they didn't have enough time to add some stuffing.
A suggestion would be to add some clothes to him, maybe an infant coat,
if you want to snuggle with him. Although his jokes aren't funny, the
fact that he has crickets chirping and then laughs at himself is
definitely funny. This toy is just entertaining, and it doesn't need to
be anything else. I can't see anyone learning anything from it, maybe
if he had interactive question answer that would be more helpful, but
when they create that it probably wont be worth the price they want to
charge. The mechanism is quieter than the first version, or else they
just raised the volume on the speaker, but either way it is less
noticeable. All in all I think it is a great toy if you can get it at a
discount, not worth the original price. We purchased it for forty nine
ninety nine, and I can live with that.

Stars Tickle Hands
Great gag gift for adults! (Once you have sewn elastic bands onto the
palms of product so that adults can play with. "Hands" are sized for
baby hands.) Trust me, great for doing "jazz hands" ala Craig Ferguson
at parties! Beats a lamp shade hands down!!

Star Very short-lived fun I know this looks cute,
but it's worth at most 15 minutes of fun. Definitely not worth the
money.

Stars Cute but I see it getting old really quick.
My little one HAD to have tickle hands for her 3rd birthday. She seems
to like them well enough but as with many toys I don't see this one
having much staying power. It comes with a dvd that has Elmo singing
his little song and a dance to go with the tickle hands but she loves
going tickle everyone in the room with them. One hand is just cloth
while the other has the box in it where the music comes from. Don't get
accidently hit with the one with the music box in it...it'll hurt. Also
the dog might not be so happy with the tickle hands (same goes for the
cat). So if your child has heavy hands...I'd look for a different toy.

Stars 2+ year old loves it
she is a big Elmo fan. Plays with this often. Follows dance and
exercise instructions. Loves the hands.

Stars An Adult's Review on Elmo
I purchased this product in order to give it away as a fundraiser. I
looked it over and saw simply a toy; a toy that would bring joy to a
child's face, but little educational value except learning about
sharing (which is a good thing). When I received it, I was surprised at
the simplicity of the product. If this toy will be "the" toy in 2009, I
would have to admit I would never have guessed it. Being an adult, I
guess this makes sense. The kids that will benefit from this toy will
be grateful and thrilled; that's all that matters anyway, not what some
adult thinks!

Stars Gotta have something to keep the hands off Daddy's
remote
My daughter has been playing with this on and off since she before she
could walk. Remotes are Really Important, and this one is still fun
because of the varied noises it makes. Having a working volume control
is very nice, and will help teach her to adjust the volume when
watching things.

Star Not very durable
I purchased this for my seven month old baby girl. She loved playing
with our tv remote so we decided to purchase this to save our remotes
from teething and baby abuse. The remote worked great for a few weeks
but it didn't stand up to her teething or being stuck in her mouth. The
remote at this point doesn't even make sound or noise (batteries are
fine). Fun while it worked.

Stars Just "OK"
My son is 8 months old and this toy got boring quickly. His little
hands can't push the side button for the eyes to roll up and down. This
phone would have probably been more interesting if it had lights.

Stars Nice toy, fun and entertaining BUT.....the paint!
This toy really amuses our 1 year old daughter, but she always chews on
the top of it and we noticed she is scratching the paint off with her
teeth! I would expect that from a cheap toy, not a Fisher-Price made
one! Our daughter loves it when you press the button and the eye
blinks!
