Fisher Price Power Wheels Review
You can go back as far as 1984 when discussing Fisher Price Power Wheels. This was the time the original makers made these battery-powered vehicles for kids. After awhile the Power Wheels became a part of Mattel when they purchased Kransco. So now the Power Wheels line is a part of the Fisher Prices section of toys. Over the years Fisher Price has sent millions of Power Wheels Vehicles right to children's homes, which includes the Harley-Davidson Ride-on battery powered vehicle. Today you will find over 100 different models available and your children can collect them all.

Advantages
When you look at all the Fisher Price Power Wheels available, each one of them resembles the styles and models that grownups have driven over the years. A great example of this is the Cadillac Escalade. It has a real working FM radio, chrome wheels, grill, doors that open or close, and a battery charged indicator whenever they are running low on power. There is a high-speed lockout for beginning drivers, but the speeds will be in the range of 2½ and 5 miles per hour. Youngsters feel as though this is pretty realistic. If your child is too small to drive they can always ride in the passenger's seat since most of the Power Wheels offer this feature.
Disadvantages
One thing you will notice immediately is the Fisher Price Power Wheels requires 4 C batteries. If your child will be using their Power Wheels toy extensively then you should consider rechargeable models. Those who don't will be spending unnecessary money. The best option is to purchase an additional 12 volt rechargeable battery. Then of course the age range is a little broad, but it most cases you should stick between the ages of 5-10 as opposed to 3-10. If the child knows that going too fast can hurt them and cause an accident then they're ready.

Customer Reviews
Overall, the reviews were great when it came to the durability of the product and the entertainment they provide. Unfortunately they ranked a lower when discussing educational values. Most of the children who thought it was a great toy was around 5 to 6 years of age. So this is the prime age area for kids to enjoy the Fisher Price Power Wheels. There are several parents who claim that their child wouldn't get out of the vehicle when it was time to go inside. So in the end parents gave this an excellent rating.
Useful Tips
In order to get the most out of your Fisher Price Power Wheels you should consider your child's size when comparing all the models. A great example of this is a 2 year old probably won't be able to touch the pedals of the Escalade model, even though the recommended age is a little higher. Most of the vehicle models offer 2 passenger seats, but the best scenario is allowing children to ride along if they have enough leg space and ground clearance. Last but not least you should always compare the pricing so you can find all the great deals surrounding Fisher Price Power Wheels.
