My Secret About Using Smelly Jelly
Most angler's are superstitious by nature...we just can't help ourselves. We prepare our line with an assortment of corkies and yarn in different colors, live or frozen bait, shiny spinners, home-tied leaders, even a hushed family secret...all in search of landing 'the biggest fish from the bank or the boat'! With this lens I am sharing my secret, known only by my husband, now announced on here for all of you! Smelly Jelly rocks!
Fishing With Smelly Jelly
4+ things you should know
My Recommendation
It's in my tackle box

Admittedly I bought my first bottle because I was intrigued by the name, plus I just had a hunch it would work. Haven't been without the Shrimp Smelly Jelly in my tackle box since! That first day...this is not a tall fish tale, as we are known to tell...I landed and wrestled to shore a 45+ lb late spring Chinook salmon. Wowsa, I really impressed the guys on the bank, several even asked me what I was using for bait! Nope, did not tell...until now that is.
You gotta get you some!
Sound off!

My stepfather and I would go fishing for 8 hours in an 18 ft. aluminum boat off Big Pine Key -- he used to put out a bit of chum that would hang off the side of the boat. Man, we caught some humdingers! Such a cool variety of fish in the keys.

Boudreaux was walking down the street when he was accosted by a particularly dirty and shabby-looking homeless man who asked him for a couple of dollars for dinner. Boudreaux took out his wallet, extracted two dollars and asked, "If I gave you dis money, will you buy some beer wit it instead?"
"No, I had to stop drinking years ago," the homeless man replied.
"Will you use it to gamble 'stead of buyin' food?" Boudreaux continued to ask.
"No, I don't gamble" the homeless man said. "I need everything I can get just to stay alive."
"Will you spend dis money on fish bait 'stead of food?"
"Are you NUTS!" replied the homeless man. "I haven't fished in 20 years!"
"Well," said a smiling Boudreaux, "I'm not going to give you the two dollars. Instead, I'm going to take you home fuh a terrific dinner cooked by ma' wife."
The homeless man was astounded. "Won't your wife be furious with you for doing that? I know I'm dirty, and I probably smell pretty bad."
Boudreaux replied, "Hey, man, dat's okay! I juss want her to see what a man looks like who's given up beer, gamblin', and fishin'."

- When my husband was in the military, we lived for a while in the South, and set some catfish lines. I helped roll some kind of stinky bait into balls that hung from big hooks. Disgusting stuff, but it caught a couple big ones. FUN lens, lots to laugh at.
