6 Steps To Cure Dry Hair

Say Bye To Brittle, Crunchy, and Breaking Hair

Here are some of the ways you can cure dry hair right now. No gimmicks and no expensive products are necessary.

1. Throw out all sulfate shampoos. They dry black hair out, causing strands to weaken and break.

2. Toss out all products that have mineral oil and petroleum in the ingredients. They only coat the hair.

3. Wear a satin or silk scarf to bed ever night. NO EXCEPTIONS!

4. Deep condition weekly. Preferably, under heat. A hooded dryer or heating cap will allow for deep penetration.

5. Limit the amount of direct heat you use ( blow dryers, flat and curling irons). Opt for a wet sets under a hooded dryer or allow hair to air dry.

6. Moisturize hair daily with a highly concentrated product. You can use household items such as Olive , Coconut , Jojoba , Sweet Almond oil or any other natural oil you can get your hands on.

Make things simple for yourself. Moisturize your hair daily with natural products and cover your hair nightly to retain the moisture.

Products For Dry Hair

What to Buy And, Stay Away From

I have good news and bad news. Let's start with the good.....

Good News:

There are a few products on the market that can help dry hair. Most of these are %100 natural products. Natural ingredients provide moisture by penetrating the hair shaft. This gives hair a chance to retain moisture between applications. You might have a few of these ingredients around the house. Olive oil, coconut oil, and shea butter, are to name a few. If you would like to see the most popular products made with 100% natural ingredients visit Natural Hair Care Products

The Bad News:

Not all products that claim to be moisturizing are. There are three major ingredients that dry hair needs to stay far away from. They are sulfate ( found in most shampoos), mineral oil, and petroleum ( usually listed as the first few ingredients in most black hair care products). Black hair care products can be found just about anywhere. Knowing what to look for makes all the difference.

Moisturize Hair Daily

Crunchy, Brittle Dry Hair

Black hair must be moisturized daily. NO EXCEPTIONS. Never let hair go dry. It's been reported that curly hair is prone to dryness because natural oils have a hard time making it's way down the hair shaft. Translation: help your hair manually, by adding additional moisture!

Keep hair clean and moisturized. You will see an amazing difference. Don't slack off, or your hair will return back to it's damaged state. Commit to a life change by creating a new hair care regimen.

Deep Condition Dry Hair Weekly

The Most Overlooked Treatment For Dry Hair

Have you ever notice that most salons charge extra for a deep conditioning treatment ? We often pay extra for this service because the results are shiny, soft and bouncy hair. This can be done at home. If you own a hood dryer or even a simple heating cap, you can deep condition your hair weekly.

Not all deep conditioners are created equally. Some offer protein for strength, while others offer moisture for softness. It will be up to you, and your hair to find out which one is best for you. Some hair can tolerate protein treatments while others resist it. Just listen to your hair when choosing your staple deep conditioner.

Hi, nice lens. When I want to straighten out my curly, often frizzy hair I use the InStyler rotating iron. It's the only iron that I found that does the job.
