Florence Oregon
Florence Oregon located on Scenic Highway 101 on the Central Oregon Coast, at the north end of the Oregon National Dunes Recreation Area and the Siuslaw River. Following Highway 126 east along the Siuslaw River 60 miles will take you to Eugene Oregon, home of the University of Oregon.
Florence was named for a French ship that wrecked at the mouth of the Siuslaw River in February of 1875 and the city was incorporated in 1893.
